Just a question towards your basic lawnmower spring tune-up. How do you change the fuel filter without getting gas everywhere? Should I empty the tank then take it off? But isn't there gas in the line too?

empty it/drain it/kink the hose, whatever, and change it, its quite possibly the easiest engine maintence there is..

Plastic fuel line? Clamp it shut with a clothes-pin or something.

It's going to spill some fuel one way or another.
