Put the clutch all the way in, rev it to around 4k rpm, let go of clutch quickly. Heel/toe isnt needed for burnouts.

you'll get a bettery smokey effect if you put the ebrake on (this is assuming it's a FWD car)
be careful though... i know some cars are known to have issues when doing stuff like this... neons for example... have a high failure rate of a pin falling out of the diff which trashes trannies

Rev it, pop the clutch, and if you wanna stay in one place, get on the breaks right after you pop the clutch.

Buy a line lock. It'll lock up your front brakes so you can do a standstill burnout all day long

ahha good idea. I'll try that a bit with the car i got.
well i thought that heel-toe was the best way to do it. it's kinda hard on the clutch just dropping it at 4,000prm. i do that in my car now (95 saturn dual cam, FWD) however it's already had a tranny replaced so i dont' wanna go through another one. I'm jsut wondering about it for later so i can look cool.

Burning out does not make you look cool unless you have a reason to be warming up the tires...dont be a tool...

My dad doesn't really burnout but when we replace brake pads or something related with stopping then he goes really fast and hits the brake really quick.

thats called bedding your pads... it's to bond the friction material to the metal portion of the pad better... or something like that... i know my racing friends (ITA class mostly) have a VERY specific sequence they use... just like they do for heat cycling new race tires

sad thing is... unless you are running on drag slicks... a burn out hurts your E.T.'s more then helps... on DOT tires it causes the tread to curl in from the heat and gives you less traction (i don't rember if that includes drag raidals or not though doh) fun stuff
but burn outs are fun... they are even more fun when you are moving... or doing it in a dougnut fashon...
the kewlest burn out to date is still the '02 or '03 SCC USCC tiburon... 2 seperate drivetrains... meaning... 2 engines, 2 trannies, 2 turbos... one sittin up front in stock loction... one sitting mid-ship behind the driver... it was a street racer car at one point... anyway... he put the front drivetrain into reverse... and the rear one into 1st...for a while the 2 sets of tires just pushed against each other... LOTS of smoke from that... but ultamtely the car started to spin on it's axis... there are vids still running around of that burn out... BY FAR the sweetest burn out EVER done
