finally got a soundsystem!!!!*PICS*

hey guys, finally got my soundsystem! haha its tight. i have:

2 10" visonik woofers in a plexiglass/wood box-$188.99

[IMG][/IMG]

2 6x9 3-way dubs-$60.00 for the pair
[IMG][/IMG]

Legacy 500 watt amp.-$88.00
[IMG][/IMG]

i took pics. but my camera doesnt have enough battery to load them to my comp so im charging it now and they will be up soon

do you guys think this was a pretty good deal?...the woofers and subs have a 1 year warranty on em too. the guy i bought the woofers from said that if he were me he would plug the woofers into the wall backwards right before the warranty is up and he said that all i have to do is bring em in and he'll get me some new ones put in. no charge. i can do that forever hahaha rip the system....what do u think of em?

EDIT:i havent hid the wires yet incase u cant tell haha. and i havent fully installed the dubs yet. their just hooked up in my back window, prolly gonna finish everything up tomorrow cuz its rainin and my friends house where we were gonna do it doesnt have a garage.

Legacy and visonk are about two of the worst brands you could have bought. However, they will probably work well and sound decent for a while. At least your bumpin now.

I agree. Some of the better amps include MTX, JL, and Hifonics. You do get what you pay for most of the time when it comes to car audio, however, I strongly discourage you from going to car audio stores to get high end equipment. They will usually screw you on the prices for things like amps, hu's and speakers. The only reason you should go to one is to purchase things like in-line fuses and large guage connectors. Other than that I reccomend getting you stuff online. If you want any further details on the matter of where to get this stuff pm me and Ill show you the websites where this stuff is a lot cheaper.

I always go to local car audio shops to get my stuff. They usually really want a sale, so it is pretty easy to bargain prices down usually. I saved about 200-300 dollars in the end.

the best way to get good deals on stuff is either buy used or open box/clearance stuff

When the amp blows, pick up a Rockford at a pawnshop.

My cousin has a full JL system and it sounds really nice. JL subs, amp, and tweeters...i dont know what mids he has, if he has aftermarket ones at all.

But yea, you should have saved a little more and gotten something a little better. It's better than stock though, so have fun with it while it lasts.
