Can American Cars .......
I was talking cars with someone yesterday and another kid butted in and said "I'm not into American cars, I like something that can actually handle." So I bit my tounge and walked away. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here watching Trans-Am races where Mustangs (using mostly parts one could buy from ford racing) have just moved from 8th and 9th to fourth and fifth, destroying Porsches and M3 Bimmers, and the Nissan 350Z hasn't run better than 8th yet.
Who here really thinks that current American cars can't handle, no matter what?

A Corvette and a 350Z weigh almost the same, yet the Vette engine is much heavier. That means, if you take the engine out of both, compared to a Vette the 350Z is a pig.
See, things are all relative. Making the general statement "american cars can't handle" just shows one's lack of knowledge.

Anyone who says American cars can't handle are morons. As Dooms has shown, the Ford racing team clearly knows how to set up a Mustang for the twisties. And of course you have Corvettes, which dominated (do they still dominate?) the Le Mans circuit just a few years ago.
As for the 350Z, we all know it was/is a let down. But then again, you can always go back to the 1970s when the 240Z totally DESTROYED every car it came up against on the circuit.

Look up the history of BMW's. There is a reason why they are differentiated. Knowledge is what separates experts from the previously mentioned morons.
