My next car...Vote now!
I'm beginning car shopping for what I will be buying.
I already own a lil 250 motorcycle and an old minivan, I'm looking for a nice trade-off between luxury and sport. My ideal car is a BMW 330Xi, but that is out of my price range. But that can give you an idea of the kind of car I want.
Here is a list of my perferences in order of their importance:
Preferably below 13k or so
200+hp
All basic luxury features(power everything, and a reasonable quality in everything in the car)
Reliability(Don't need something that will run 300k, but not looking for a mid 90's hyundai)
Weight
6 Cyl engine(Only a few 4 cyl engines I would consider)
Under 65k miles
Semi new(like 2000+, obviously older if it is one of the more expensive cars)
AWD(or RWD over FWD)
Ergonomics
"sporty" suspension(we all know a family sedan sport suspension isnt really sport, but I just don't want something meant for comfort)
Small wheelbase
Turning radius(goes along with wheelbase quite a bit)
Add on parts easily available
Decent back seat
4 Doors
trunk storage
With that said, I've made a list of a few of the top cars I'm looking at. Vote and give your opinion.

I say get the Cobra or a 200- Trans Am WS6, they have always striked my fancy with the "vette engine" LT1 I think it's called?
Plus you can't say they don't look bad ass:

I say 300ZX, just because I voted before I read your requirements.
But seriously, look into a Z. It might not be for you, but it'll be a fun time.

I said Supra...because...well...I love Supras...
But good luck if you're going to try to find one for that cheap..and if you do..let me know about it and if they have another one...
EDIT: I like the Mazda6's also, I've heard they're good cars, good gas mileage also, decent speed, so that'd be my second choice...

Haha I LOVE M3's. It is kinda in the back of my mind because 15k will get me a decent late 90's M3. But I don't know if I want to be paying that high of insurance/maintenance on a car that isn't even that fast.
Also don't forget, I will be doing work on whatever car I buy. If I get one of the Mazdas I will most likely Turbo/Supercharge it shortly thereafter. I ideally want to get 300 or so hp out of any car I buy.
**edit
Another reason why I'm not too into the Z/M3 is because for my price range, I would have to buy an older/higher mileage car. I would LOVE to own one, but I don't think they are in my budget right now for the kind of car I want.

the thing bout m3s is they take to upgrades like no other...they're beasts wit boost and u could easily get one runnin 300 to the wheels for under 20k...i'm jus a huge m3 fan lol...but yea i understand the insurance thing cuz i'm paying $260 a month on a piece of **** civic...Also the mazdaspeed 6 is coming out soon that has 247(?) base...but will prolly be too expensive for wat ur lookin at

274 on the Mazdaspeed 6, it is a little over my price range because it is so new. But it is also a 4 cyl. Its just like an evo/sti, and I would take an evo over the Mazdaspeed6.
Right now my strongest choices would be a late 90's/early 2k's Mustang GT, Mid 90's Cobra Mustang, 98-99 eclipse GSX, and Mazda6.
If the eclipse was a 6 cyl, I would buy it hands down, it has everything I want except for the engine factor, even though I can get that running 300+ with near 1k in work.
For the stang, I'd definatly stick some cosmetics on there to change the look. I can't stand the chicks stang look.
On the Mazda, I can afford a pretty new/low mileage one, and I could have some fun with that thing under the hood since almost everything can be changed since it is N/A with all parts mostly meant for a family sedan instead of a sports sedan.

Are you still getting a new bike?
You could look into a Eclipse GST.

I'm honestly not a big fan of the mazda6 (jus personal preferences) and eclipses are nice jus to many of them...I was thinking bout a stang also cuz even tho theres a lot of them around not many are fixed up and actually decent performance wise (except the cobra)...i'd say go for the stang jus make sure u doctor ur 1st gear cuz they really suck ass stock

New bike is in the air right now.
And I wouldn't want the GST, I can get the GSX for nearly the same price and it is basicly a fully loaded GST with AWD. The AWD is the thing that really sells me on an eclipse, besides the fact I LOVE the look of the 2nd gen.

Of course I exagerrated to sound better, but this site does a pretty good job of setting it all up. I can get alot of that stuff pretty cheap as well. So I just tossed out 1k as a number.

and I'm not really interested in anything pre-95, 98 would be the oldest unless I was buying a top-end car.

Friend of mine has that EXECT WS-6. Same color, t-tops and everything. Wicked fast and looks beautiful.
Id say go w. the GSX.
Speed, power, looks, good MPG.
