the rear looks good, but the front just doesn't look right. looks like it was pinched or somethin. open up that grille and make it look like it's supposed to!

They have been talking about the Challenger for a while now. Everyone at Dodge is saying this is going to be the car that has everything the Charger didn't. They want it to be direct competition with the Mustang and GTO. However, stock for stock it won't have the HP to compete with the high end GT500 (500 or so S/C hp) and GTO Judge (500 or so N/A hp). The base V8 model though will have the 350hp hemi compared to the stangs 300hp (though by the time the Challenger is released the stang will be more than 300), it is also supposed to have a 6-spd (Mustang currently is only a 5 in GT form). For the V6 it will be 250hp, to the stangs 210. They also want to keep it light, but something tells me if they base it off the LX platform (which they are, it's being called the LY) than it will be just as piggy as the stang and goat.

All in all, I think they really need to keep the design similer to the prototype and they need to price it right if they really want it to take off. They are coming into the game a little late so they wont be taking as many mustang sales as they should, but that's Dodge for ya. After all, the original Challenger came out about 5 years later than the Mustang, towards the end of the real muscle car era.

Wow, as long as the tards dont add 2 more doors that thing will be pretty cool. My buddy's dad back in Minnesota has 70-71 (Can never remember they are mopar nuts and have liek 5 cars) Challenger R/t, pretty sweet ride.

This defintately should be interesting though. Props on posting this up man!

im just not diggin it like the originals. maybe it's that dodge crosshair grille they put in there.i like the 70s ones where it's more open. that's probably whats makin it look pinched

Na, the front of the original challenger was kind of pinched too as you can see. IMO if they opened it up, it would just look like a charger.
