Darnit! So close.....
Here I was thinking I was going to be the first one this year to buy a car and my father beats me to it. For my mothers Birthday (today) he bought her a 2006 Lexus RX330. She has been asking him for it for about a year now and he finally did it. This is her first new car since her Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme in the 70's, so she is pretty much ecstatic. This is also my fathers first personal vehicle that isn't American, so we will see what he thinks. It came off the ship today and she should have it by tomorrow. When I get home on Wed I'll take some pics and let you know what I think.
Geeze, and I was wondering why he wanted me to wait on the Chevelle, his insurance guy was already busy looking for insurance on the Lexus. He was sneaky too this time, usually he tells me first. We are going to have to start selling stuff soon. The garage is getting full.
Speaking of the Chevelle, my uncle doesn't like the paint (he says it is a bit rough for what the guy wants) and he knows a guy selling a hardtop that is a little better optioned and looks nicer for the same price. So now I don't know what to do. I'll have to look at both of them (I'll go over break) and take a day or so to decide. I'll let you know.

A close friend of mine from HighSchool had one as a project but unfortunatley never finished due to a fatal accident. I would really like to see some pics of that sometime if you could?

It is in storage for the winter/fall/spring. The Viper is a 1994 with 4,000 total original miles on it since my uncle bought it. It's a fun car, but a PITA to drive around. It goes for Pizza and Chinese food and that's about it. People try to sit in it or touch it all the time, they try to open the hood (which if you don't do it just right it cracks), if there is the slightest bit of water on the ground it hydroplanes like crazy, and it is in absolutely perfect condition (well, it doesn't have cats or a stock muffler anymore). It is pretty much only a summer car (as the mileage shows). I've put a ton of pictures up on here from when I drove it the first time. If you want I'll put them up again, but I think everyone else would shoot themselves in the foot since they saw then 30 times already.
The '32 isn't quite finished yet. It is a real 5 window model B that my uncle had since he was 18. He sent it to a '32 rebuilder to do most of the ground up restoration (as he will make it a 100 point car) and he brought it to his painter to paint it. All that is left is some of the air conditioner work, the interior, the door handles, and bolting on the fenders and running boards. It is going for interior next week and we should have it back within a month. I'll get some pictures when we go to put all the other stuff on. When it is done it should be worth $130,000 or so. Not bad for a car he paid his aunt $300 for. When he drove it as a kid it had a 400+hp 327ci engine with over 13:1 compression piston and duel quads, a 3-spd rock crusher, and a 6.13:1 or so rear. When he used to race with it nothing could touch it stop light to stoplight, the car would roast the tires from a stop in third.
The '73 Lincoln Mark IV was owned by my grandfather. It was Lincoln's version of the Thunderbird, but had a lot more options to it. Including a 460ci big block, which is the largest factory engine produced by Ford. I was going to get it running again, but it needs a new radiator, gas tank, all hoses, fuel pump, water punp, ect. Too much work for right now, we will work on that after the '32 is done. It does have one of the first car phones in it, which will be kept when it is fixed up. Not too many people have seen a rotary dial car phone.

Here is the pictures of the Lexus. I took them tonight with my camera phone after I drove it, so they arn't that great, but you get the idea. It's a nice car, I like the nav system and all the little gadgets here and there. (The back up camera and headlight washers are neat) I don't know why people always rave about Toyota's interior though, it isn't that great. I would say it is a little better than the old Explorer, but definately not Mercedes or BMW. I like how tight the steering is and the HID headlights. I do think it lacks a little pep, but it isn't really broken in yet. I also don't like how you can't change navigation settings unless stopped, what a PITA. Other than that I like it, the paint is great, a nice even metalic flake to it and it rides very smooth and Car like, you don't feel the bumps in the steering like my Mazda. It's made in Canada too, I thought Lexus was mostly made in Japan.

A picture I'm just throwing in that I took riding home from PA. First time in my life I've ever been on a major highway and not seen another car behind me or infront of me for miles. I wish I was driving the Cobra.
