i like the kenwood excelon(sp) line i dont care much for the regular stuff.

did you pick up that stuff on clearance or are they running a sale on that stuff?

i love my pioneer DEH-7700MP kinda sad i can rember that off the top of my head lol.

pretty much all of them from the Alpine CDA-9847 up thats the cheapest one i belive all Headunits with the Ai-NET compatibility will work with the ipod interface

you could try getting an equalizer, I think most of them have inputs on them... plus you could tune your system nicely too. just an idea...

I run a Kenwood eXcelon X789. I can opt for the Ipod interface unit for $99. That way it's a hard connection and will charge the Ipod as well.

I've always ran with eXcelons and couldn't be happier. No issues yet. Remember that the HU is the core of your system (and a good amp) and you don't want to go too cheap on it.

I know...thats why I am going Alpine. I am very happy with it, I love mine...just pissed at the fact that I didnt spend the extra $20 for a aux input. Just pissed....

But I am thinking of getting the Alpine CDA-9845, cuz its cheaper, and a step up from mine now, and can get one on ebay decently cheap.

Idk about Kenwoods, have no experience on them, just rumors. JVC...will never touch one or install one. I hate those things. I am not sure what my friend has, but she has cds that get stuck in hers for a few days, before they come out. But I know hers isnt like the best brand, her dad got it for her for cheap. Pioneer...there not bad, just dont want one. Sony...will never touch another one. A sony came with my old ranger...couldnt stand it. Really really hate sonys just cuz that one player.

The equalizer thing...
It seems like the only equalizers that have input are the $100+ ones. I can get a Alpine with a input for about that price, and my alpine now in my car, makes my stock system banging. My system is only one step up above stock, was one of those Sound and Sun package things, where they just give you like a speaker system that is one step up from stock....decent to say the least. I actually like it.
But I dont know if a equalizer will do me any good....inputs on this?

tl;dr

if ur looking for something to hook ur i-pod to ur car... get one of those cassets that has the input jack on them. thats what my buddy uses in his car to hook up[ his i-pod and it works great
