just buy a used (but still good) trans from somewhere and swap it in

yep junkyards usualyl have a few good trannys.
a ton cheaper than what a shop woudl charge new. I had to buy a new tranny(my old one cracked..I'm still confused about how that happened) and I saved several hundred dollars.

Nope, just a few pieces in the reverse to fix???

I heard to un-do it u go 2nd to reverse...or 2nd, 5th, then reverse?
