'78 Camaro 350 w/ 4 bbl carb, dual exhaust and a nice mismatch front end since some 15 year old with no license made a right turn from the left lane in front of me. Long story.
Anyway, I think I took this pic right after I put the front end on. I'll see if I can find the wrecked photos.
I still haven't painted it. The body isn't quite sitting straight. Hell, it probably never will. This car was bought used in 1980 with 5,000 miles on it. it was the family car while I was growing up. My mom used to drag race people on the way to take me to school. We used to take family trips cross country in this thing. It has over 400,000 miles and the engine has never been rebuilt. Just regular oil changes and general stuff. I think it's had a new water pump put on and a new transmission because it sat up for a year after my brother wrecked it.
Edit: Jeez, I look fat in that pic! I think I was pushing 230 then. I'm down to 180 now, trying to play front. Wheee.

My mother had a 350 Berlinetta in dark blue, same body style. She never really liked it because the suspension was too hard for her, but my father loved it because of that 350 small block. Parts cost next to nothing and were almost 100% interchangable with his Blazer.
And because this is a no text thread, another pic of my stang from a show last August:

It looks like a '72 Malibu done up as an SS clone, very nice. It reminds me of my buddies '72 SS clone with a 350 crate (385hp), a 700R4, and a 12 bolt posi with 4.10s. His is more of a hunter green though. I helped him drop the new engine in.

I'm from Union County, so I'm not that far off, about an hour or so.
Edit: Whoops, forgot a pic:

doomsday, now i dont wanna get up in your grille or anything, but wheres the flathead in the 32 coupe?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! small block chevy is probably one of the best all around engines out there, but c'mon its way over used. For that car, you gotta have a ford flathead with an offenhauser intake holding six 1 barrels. please? lol

The engine is a 327 with 13 to 1 compression pistons and duel quad Edelbrock carbs making around 450hp, connected to a Turbo 350 setup like a powerglide (the more gas you give it the faster it slams into gear), the rear is a 6.13 geared ford rear.
When my uncle first bought the car when he was 17 years old it had a Mercury flathead V8 in it. He took that out and put a 327 in it to go racing against the guys with the, then new, big blocks. My grandfather sold the flathead engine for $10 because it was taking up space in the garage, that same engine is worth over $10,000 now. If we had it than it would have went back in. The reason we put a 327 in it was because the same guy that built his 327 back in the 60's built this engine for us and he used the same heads and intake from the original. This car was one of the original 327 hotrodded 5-windows, way before American Graffiti made it popular to put a small block in Ford roadster. You can say this is one of the originals.

That's how he wanted it, we're basically finishing the car the way he wanted it since he was 17.
