hard choice need opinions.

alright so in about a month or so after i sell my house i am going to get a new truck and this will basicly be my play truck it will be what i drive when i dont need to tow a trailer which i have my blazer for towing

i know for sure i want an s10 or sonama but the thing i cant decide on is if i want a lifted 4x4 model or if i want one thats lowered/baged

i haven done the minitruck think before and i love the shows, crusing, the club meets, and having a truck that stands out

and on the other hand i spent a good bit of my childhood in the back of a cj-7 and i miss off-roading

so i guess i just want some opinons on what you would do in my situation

i will have about 7-8000 to spend

this

or this

NOTE: theseare not the actual trucks i am just using these as examples

whatever you do, don't get a lifted s10. a buddy of mine has one and it sucks offroad. I'd say go bagged on 20's, or be different and bag it on 22's. do you want to buy one already built, or do it yourself?

Well, Id personally go with a lifted s10, because I only see dropped ones around here. Depends on what you can do with the motor, or even better you can do and engine swap on that ***** and have a mean machine. That'd be hot.

i have nothing against lifted trucks, i've got a chevy z71 tahoe but i think the s10's are to small to lift. if you really wanna lift a truck get a fullsize. trust me, you'll get a lot more poon layed out on 22's than you will with a lifted mini truck. look at that s10 the other guy posted. thats like a 6-8lift and its still only about 2inches taller than a stock z71.

well to really reallly have fun off roading, you need alot of horspower, and a very high gear ratio. like a 4.11 is good. And u have to have a very strong manual transmission. I cant see you enjoying everything there is to do offroading without a v8. If you wanna use a car for off-roading, id say get something alil bigger, and made for it, like a jeep or older bronco or something.

an s10, i think the best fun your gonna have with it, is a couple engine bolt ons, sound system, and a dropped suspension. It will get enough mpg to cruise long distances and bring to car shows.

id say lower it

Definately drop the S10 if you get it. If you wanna go offroading, get something that was made for it, ex: Jeep or fullsize truck(Ram 2500 with the v8... perrrfect)

The only 'mini truck' i'd say is do-able offroading is the tacoma.
