8" subs...any Experience?

Alright, im been on a quest for a nice set of subs for my truck. I drive a single cab, '98 Isuzu Hombre (chevy s-10 w/ diff emblems). I had a 15" JL audio 15w6. No way in hell it would fit. I considered two 12" Audiobahns, but again, I thought they would be too big. My dad says a guy at work that was monsterously into car audio has four 8"ers he'd sell me. Not sure on brand yet, but there nice. He knows his ****. Im going in tommorow to takl to him about them.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Im kind of shady with the smaller size of them, but I hope that the quanity will make up for it. Im also hoping that the smaller size will give better sound quality?

Open to all opinoins, and critacism.

SIDE NOTE!!!!! Selling my 15" JL audio woofer for the best offered price. OFFER UP!!

Aight, Are you still interested in my JL? My dad said that the guy had two 15's in his car befor and they got stolen, and then he switched to the four 8's and they were way better. He also said that it was a major brand name, but couldent remember which it was.

Offer, I just want it out. Ask Nissian what a fair price would be. I said $300, and he said he would buy it for that, but I'll go lower.

Really good condish, never had much power run to it, my brother has had it since new, had it in a Cobra, and then took t out when he sold and got his truck. Sat in his bedroom for about a year, and he traded it to me for sum ps2 stuff. I havent run it at all since ive had it.

BUT, it is the 2nd best model JL audio makes, and its HELLA powerful.

8's aren't that great. They sound good but don't hit very hard. Go with JL 8's if you do get em. My buddy has some RE Audio 8s that sound nice and hit decently hard.

Gah, I got them.

There kind of old, a couple years. The cone is crunched in on one of them, and the surround is blown out of the other one. BUT, two of them are good, so one in each door, and i'll put real subs behind the seats.

My count so far...
Kenwood KCD-MP828 Headunit (64bit color display)
Rockford PUNCH 500 watt RMS amp.
JBL 4 channel component amp
MB quart 300w peak 3-way 6x9's (Angled in beind seat on either side)
Pioneer 150w 4x6's (on top of dash)
'Forgot Brand' 8" 250w subs (one in each door enclosure)
Infinity 12's (the nicer ones, not the $150 ones) behind the seat. The Infinity's are really slim, and hit hard. Not my choice, but i'll upgrade later.

All in a regular cab Chevy/Isuzu S-10/Hombre

And...SOMEONE BUY MY JL 15W6!!

Im puttin it in this weekend.

What do you guys think of kicker comp's? There slim enough for my truck, and they beat really hard. I need a good set of 10's that are slim enough to fit in my reg. cab truck.
