98-02 Trans Ams are the ****. Camaros are okay, but the WS6 TA is one of the most badass looking cars that I've ever seen. However, both the Camaro and TA are, at the core, the same car. Same engine, trans, rear, HP, TQ, T-tops, etc. The only real differences are the body panels, some interior pieces, and well...that's about it. However, both cars have some known bad habits. I'm gonna list some of them.

Crappy 10-bolt rear end (prone to breaking)
Crappy, underpowered window motors
Crappy gears for flip up lights (will eventually strip out)
Hump in floor of passenger side
Cheap interior prone to squeaking, rattling, and cracking
PITA to work on (50-60% of the engine is under the dash)
T-tops can leak if not taken care of.
Brakes are somewhat weak
Doors are HUGE. Be careful where you park.
Engine has piston slap when cold started.
PITA to put a true dual exhaust on it. No clearance between rear and body.
Insurance will bite you in the ass and will NOT let go.

All in all. They are some of the best cars ever made and can whoop the **** out of a LOT of imports (other than evos, stis, and other $30+k cars).
