new truck accessories. tool box, CUSTOM bedliner...pics!!
well i was asked awhile ago to get some pics up of my custom bedliner and i figured id throw in some others too .
first up:
custom fit turf bed liner. this is the exact same stuff they used on our field at our highschool...in fact this is the extra turf they had left over!
and then we've got my brand spankin new tool box that i picked up for $200 at a local hardware store. not tooo bad of a price considering Tractor Supply Co. had the same toolbox for $280.
^complete with my mustang stickers from the sides of my helmet last year...all the football players do it.
what do u guys think?

You need to trim the bedliner more so it lays flat in the bed, instead of comming up the sides.

yeah it wont take that long i wouldnt imagine...an x-acto knife and some quality time is all ya need =P
only thing about that...is, unless you get it held down somehow (the turf i mean), you wouldnt be able to drive with your tailgate down...idk if that affects you at all. it looks sick though man, haha..if that were my truck, i'd trim the turf down a little, and use it like a golf mat and hit golf balls from it...but thats just me

BRILLIANT! yea ill trim those sides down today.
how should i tack it down? i havent found a solution to that problem yet...it has to be removeable, yet strong enough so i can drive with my tailgate down.

Bind it down with NdFeB Neodymium magnets. They're uber strong and small. You can find them at www.unitednuclear.com for relatively cheap.
The 1/2"x1/16" disc magnets would probably work best. Or for more strength, upgrade to the 1/2"x1/8" disc magnets. I'd think about 18 of the little ones or 12 of the big ones would hold it pretty well.

that turf in the bed would be completely useless in the bed of my truck, or any truck for that matter imo.

pfft....itd keep things from sliding around as much, and it'd be nicer to sit on too. use your imagination!

indeed, i took em off awhile back. Partly b/c the drivers side one was smashed from a gooseneck during Katrina/Rita. Never used em much anyways.
the bed is so messed up tho, lol. has a huge dent towards the rear where a natural gas compressor head was dropped, prolly weighed a few hundred lbs.
and the rhino lining is falling apart, just gettin scraped off and such in places
Sorry to hijack ya thread dude, seems as it has turned into a truck accessories thread.
