What Does PBF Think?
Ok, keep in mind I just got scammed out of $750 from a bogus company in Indonesia, so of course I am very skeptical.
In my local paper I saw an ad for an '03 350Z with 47k miles, excellent condition mechanically and great interior/exterior for $6,900. I e-mailed the guy, telling him he must have made a mistake on the price. He said no, he just really needs to sell it because he lost his job and has to move or something.
Apparently the car is in Utah, and he said he would have it shipped for no extra price. He also sent me a bunch of pics:
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/paulsi...e2.jpg&.src=ph
Not really my style, but it's definitely a nice price. He wants to make the deal through SquareTrade.com, a third party escrow service that eBay uses.
To get the money for it, I'm going to see if this local car place will loan me $7k. If I do get the 350Z, I'm just going to sell it to the car place for as much as I can get, and use the profit to convert my 300ZX to a Twin Turbo.
What do you guys think? Why would this be so cheap? Good deal? Bad deal?

Yeah, I don't think I'm going to go through with it. Too many possibilities to be scammed. Too bad though, it would have been nice to have money to TT my Z.

That thing is sweet.
I would be skeptical. That dosent look like a car someone would sell for 7K. Looks like the kinda car "TONS OF MODS $32K!!!!" Kinda crap.
Honestly...idk. Something seems really messed up. Maybe its not his car....maybe its someone elses, and he is just scamming it up.

this is pretty common
my dads ebay account got jacked once, and the jacker listed a mustang for sale with a buy-it-now of $3500. The idea is, once u pay him with a third party (pay-pal) he empties his account, deletes it, and u never hear from him.
I emailed the guy selling this mustang, asked if he would end the auction early for me if i offered 4000, he said sure, just put it through pay pal. I then sent him another email saying i want to meet him in person and pay in cash...... and i never heard from him again.
my advice, tell this guy its only a deal if its made in person with the car present.

If he will meet in person with the car present and everything...do it. You can make some money off of it for sure.

It's because the body kit doesn't look that great, plus a CF hood and wing. Either way, definitely worth more than $6900. People on ZCar.com said it's probably a scam though; they've seen pics of that car floating around before.

Nissan dropped the ball on the 350. Compared to what the 2nd gen 300ZX was in it's day (or even today), the 350 isn't that great. Sure it sold great, but really there wasn't anything that groundbreaking. Slower than a Twin Turbo Z, ok styling (the bubble butt kills it), meh interior, tire feathering problems...

Heres my opinion, and I think its very logical.
Body kit on the car probably means that the previous owner thought he was Boy Racer. He probably beat on it, isn't moving, and wants to get rid of it because its full of problems.
If your serious about it, meet him somewhere and test drive it.
