Volvo Fast?
A buddy of mine just bought over his new car. It's a 2004 Volvo S60 R. First thing I said was, "Dude, wtf, a Volvo?" But, then I learned a bit more about the car. 300hp turbo I-5, 3600lbs, low 14 second 1/4 mile, manual or paddle-shift automatic, AWD, 25mpg, Brembo brakes, 4 position adjustable suspension, stability control, traction control, holds 5 people, and has a pretty nice interior. Plus it's got all the usual Volvo saftey stuff. It cost him less than $30,000 used too.
All in all I was pretty impressed. I didn't even know Volvo even made a sports sedan. I bet insurance isn't that bad on it either. I really think Volvo has a winner here, and I bet most people don't even know about it.

My friend's sister just got one of those 6 litre v8 turbo SUVs from Volvo. Set her back like 50k. It's hella nice we're going to take it out some night.
Turbo Volvo wagons are also the ****. I remember some guy on here had 2 of them but only 1 ran.

there is this s60R w/ a aero-kit (a moderate factory one) that I see sometimes. It looks VERY nice and the car sure is quick.
you know the s60r is used in competition in the Grand Touring class right?

Inlines have lower rpm tourqe than V engines. The first engine banned on the dirt track was a ford 300 in line six. It had the hole shot quicker than the v8's. So the volvo is going to get there quicker which means it is going to be out front. Longer than a 1/4 mile it loses b/c its tourqe is compromised. The cummins out powers the powerstroke off he line it has more low end tourqe, alot more out on the freeway the powerstroke ot does the cummins b/c of its higer rpm. Never diss an inline they have awesome low end power which means faster power, but less at far end.

my first car was a 940 turbo, fast and fun even with the little power. i'm finishing up a poject truck i bought to replace it, but i'm starting to get the idea for a new volvo... i even had a weird dream of it. honestly, i miss the gas mileage.
