there isnt a difference
when buying wheels, you just need to consider:
1. wheel width
2. wheel diameter
3. stud bolt pattern
4. offset
if those 4 things check out, then all is good
that exact wheel is the type that uses an adapter on the studs, and it goes on with one big nut. A very bad idea, alot of people have problems with those wheels coming loose when driving

Don't forget to consider weight and what kind of + sized tire you are going with. If you add a lot of weight, you're gonna feel it when you step on the pedal.

I doubt he'll feel any different by going to a 15x7 wire wheel. Hell, i put 22's on my truck, and the difference isnt that bad
