well i just found this deal today on a 91 civic. it needs some work and i am fine with that because im a hands on kind of person and would like to get to no how to fix up cars. it needs a new exhaust considering the one on it wont pass echeck, one place on the car needs bondo and painted and it needs a tachometer. i can get it for 600. please let me kno if you think this is an alright deal.

how many miles, sounds expensive i wouldnt give more then 300 cash

not sure about miles, but he put new springs in cuz it didnt have any when he bout it, stabilizer bars, replaced plugs and some other stuff ill have to ask about. but he said he put about a grand into it

If it's the 4-speed its got a d13. In other words, don't buy it.

Otherwise, d15 which isn't a bad motor.

$600 is pushing it. I see old civics like that going left and right for $200-$800.

600 ain't bad.

Go for it. It won't be fast but it should be fun to drive.

Theres a Honda Tuning issue on building a d-series to make MORE power than a b-series swap for like half the cost.

D-series ain't that bad of an engine. They do like to be boosted. Dustin has one in his hatch, and the last run he made was 13.2 at 104, I'm wanting to say, but don't quote me on it. He's only pushin around 10lbs too. Heck, I'm thinking about getting a 96-00 coupe and dropping a JDM Type S H22A in it just for a fun daily driver.
