Eh i got bored so i did it too, exhuast video clip: (american muscle)
my chevelle
engine is a big block 396
stock cam
stock heads
exhuast is 2.5 with cheap crimp bends
mufflers are out of a junk yard, they are flowmasters
headers are dynomax ceramic coated with 3.5" collector
complete exhaust system cost, about $400-$450 (300 of that was the pretty headers [yes, headers is plural in this case  ])
best part is watching the body twist from the torque of the engine
sorry about the smoke, first time the car has been started in a month, so there is alot of condensation in the pipes.
fyi thats 4000 rpms
crappy camera, so blast ur volume |

Any car will do that with enough rust in key places. 
Anyway, sounds good. Much better than a 350 small block.
Are you sure that's the stock cam in there, it sounds like it has a bit more lope then stock. Then again, I'm going by memory, which has gotten fuzzy lately.

Our crown vic's body torques cause of the engine aswell. So that doesn't say much.

stock cam is fairly agressive, not that effective, but agressive. 284 adv duration, 35 degress of overlap, .400 lift. The low lift is nice, because my peak torque is at 3200, and peak hp is at 4800.

I didnt say, OMG THE TORQUE TWISTS THE BODY MORE THEN ANY OTHER CAR, THEREFORE I AM GOD!!!!1111!!!1!1!1!
i simply compared it to cars........ with no torque..... that are popular.... ok enough being subtle. hondas.
if u want body twist, i'll power brake rev it to 2500. That will make the front of the car lift up about 3-4 inches. |
