Good deal?
1998 Gmc jimmy it has 74k miles and it's 4x4
The bad stuff= it has casset(quick fix) no power locks or windows
Dad looked under the hood i took a glance and saw vtech.
Only wants 4500 what yall think?
IT had a squeek in the back where the back glass was loose and the side mirror was wobblin I guess these could be easy fixes

When you said Vtech, I thought you meant VTEC for Hondas. I was about to pull the WTF BS card but then remembered those have the 4.3 Vortech.
I wouldn't. Maybe if you copped it for $3k. I see nice blazers and what not easily going for 3-4k. No power locks and windows really makes me think it's not worth it.
I thought you were looking at Mustangs?

Book value is about $4,000 if you aren't buying it from a dealer. Try offering the guy $3500 cash and see if he takes it. If not try $4,000. I wouldn't go $4,500, that's a bit much unless it's in perfect shape.

Personally, for hunting I'd want a truck. Just becuase I wouldnt want to deal with the bloody mess in the back of a blazer, with a truck you juse hose it down. If I were you I would pick up a cheapo Ranger Beater for hunting. They are stupidly cheap around here and are small, so they can fit down tight dirt roads and such. However, that does seem like a decent deal, if you can talk him down. Power windows and locks are mere convienences, real men dont need em :P

heh the thing is i wouldn't have this when i am in a stand we usually ride the 4wheelers to the stands(i hate sittin in a tree anyway) If we were runnin dogs i could just throw me a old blanket in it and put the seats down and throw a small dog box in it and if i killed something we would have like 5-6 people that could carry it out of the woods for me.
Basically i plan on pickin up a beater truck for like a grand for huntin and this be a dd and offroad fun with friends

The squeek is normal. You'll never get rid of it.
Talk him down and then go for it. Don't forget you need new tires/rims for that if you plan on goin wheelin.

I suppose, we Just generally have to transport the dead animals, to the tagging station and such so personally I'd rather have a truck. Sounds like you got it all figured out though.
BTW, what are you hunting? I generally go whitetail hunting and we have a rabbit dog for the winter, and I also do some patridge(ruffed grouse). Sorry for the threadjack :P

The best way to fix that squeak is to put 2 wraps of electrical tape on it and spray some aerosol lithium grease on it. That will shut it up for a couple months.
It's VORTEC big homie
Offer him 3500 on it.
