Hello,
I have a 2000 Benz ML320 SUV. Recently while at stop lights or just parked my idle has gotten really low and the engine has started chugging, I know its not an air flow problem as i have put in new sensors/filter and I'm pretty sure its not my injectors.
Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?

MAP sensor? Intake manifold temp. sensor? dirty filter, throttle body, etc?

might be a bad idle control motor. It's not uncommon for those to stick or get gummed up. That's the first thing i would have looked at.

How's the oil consumption on it? I know they were having a horrible problem with the V6's wearing out the piston rings about 60,000 miles.

Oil is doing ok, run down only slightly faster then its supposed to. Rings are all good.
The idle motor or fuel filter just might be it, I ran diag and the computer says nothing is wrong with anything where the computer is involved. Ill check those, Thanks guys.
