How much gas Boston -> LA?
How much would it cost for me to drive to LA? I get about 25-30MPG on my ****box. I really just want to move once I graduate.

It's approximately 3000 miles from Boston to LA.
If you figure you'll get 25MPG the whole way (probably more/less at times), that's 120 gallons of gas you'll go through.
I'm not sure the price of gas in Boston or LA, but it's definitely cheaper in between the two cities, so figure $3.00 a gallon average.
It'd be around $360.

Ok, well then say it's $4.00 a gallon average, which is well over but whatever. Then it'd be around $480. So figure $500 for gas and you'll have money left over.

Yeah but he lives with his parents right now. If he moves out to LA, he'll be living on his own.
Just some food for thought.

man, gas is 3.39 here, luckily since my car dies if I drive over ~50mph, I never drive anywhere but work, which is .6 miles away, or around town. I usually fill my tank to half, and only fill up once a month.

Now that college is gonna be over, I'll be great on gas, considerin I get an average of like 36.
If your gonna go cross country, you gonna go 80? I would, its easiest to take 95 down to ny and just hop on 80 and book it. I'd get a radar detector before I went if I were you, could save your ass.

Gas is a bit over $3 here in Indiana, which usually has semi-cheap gas.

Save yourself the money and just leap frog with the semis. They're the best radar detectors out there If they slow down, you slow down. They do 90, you do 90. They're going to get pulled over for speeding before you since their fines are heftier. Besides, no one will notice you tucked in the middle of a convoy. Your mileage will probably jump as well.
figure out how big your gas tank is, and muliply by your freeway mileage and you'll hav | |
