i had a couple powerbass subs back in the day, they sounded great for what i used em for, i actually enjoy their subs quite a bit for being such an underdog company..

Yeah I demoed (sp) a set of PB 12s about 3-4years back and was not impressed. But I must say they have improved quite a bit lately and their higher end subs are actually pretty nice.

yeah, i had a set of the cheapest 12's they made, and they sounded great, the only problem they had was a really long recovery time... cant really play songs with quick hard hits, or it sounds like slop...
