My ride

Finally got around to getting some pics of the car. These were from a car show held today; placed in top three out of my class(tuners/domestics). Anywho, now onto pics:

Those are a few quick shots I took. My Mods are as follows:
Engine:
Ebay CAI w/Apex'i Filter
NGM Stage IV IM
Custom 2.5'' Dual Exhaust to TopSpeed Mufflers
DC Sports Headers (Need to install badly)

Tranny:
Random-a** clutch and flywheel. Seriously, I have no idea what brand they are, but the guy put them in right before he sold the car.

Interior:
Painted Interior Pieces
PLX Wideband A/F Gauge
Apex'i Neo

Exterior:
Black Headlights
KDM Badging
Black Wheels
Nightshaded Tails
In all honesty, give me your opinion on the tails, please. If you don't think they look good, I won't be offended at all.

That's it for the most part, probably one or two things that which I am missing.

i think it looks okay, but i doubt its super-quick.

You like the rims on it? I'd go for a 6 spoke racing wheel, itd look alot better imo

not a fan of the black rims, they make it look like winter tires.

black rims on cars either look absolutely amazing. or are horrible looking. theres no inbetween to me for black rims. i personnaly dont like the rims. the color or the style. if you are going to have black rims (im getting black rims when i get a car) i would get a chrome lip.

I think it looks pretty good man. I would loose the blackouts on the tails though.

Nice ride. I think you need to lose the black rims and tail lights though.

well, its not super-quick, but it'll eat most hondas that I come across. If I keep it, well, it'll be a monster. As for the rims, they are the stockers painted. I won't have the car long enough to actually want to get rims for it. As for the tails, I did all of that myself. Nightshade+clearcoat+lots of polishing. Personally, I like the tails. Yea, the rims ain't the best, but I'm focusing more on the go-fast aspects of it. Next up is a hefty shot of laughing gas, hopefully.

How has it been reliability wise? All the Hyundai's in the past used to be real POS. My cousins actually had parts fall off while she was driving. It seems they've gotten better based on what the magazines say, but I would still be scared to buy one.

All the time that I've had it, I've never had a problem with it. The things to watch out for are mainly window motors, and faulty clutches on the early 03 models. A lot of the newer Hyundai's are an excellent buy. Whatever car I may get next, I'm thinking about picking up an elantra for my daily. I know a lot of people with tibs that have had zero problems. Hyundai got a bad rep for being pos's early in the start, but they have turned things around for the best.

its called samba/rally red. Pics are ok, but the car is a little darker in person. As for the gay comment, I don't care, but I'd rather rock this than a foxbody that everyone and their mother has. No offense, but there isn't a tib around me for miles and miles. I'd rather own something that no one else has rather than see three of them on my same block.

Lol I know of like 3 other red foxes in the KC/MO area that are out regularly.

Wasn't trying to bash you or anything, I just hate tibs I've always thought Hyuandi were junk. But hey if you like it man more power to you. It looks pretty decent.

I know you weren't bashing me, every man has their own opinion. Heck I remember way back when the only hardcore import guys on these boards were you and I. Gotta still get along, even though tastes have changed, right?

As for the honda comment, I'm not reffering to stock civics; I'm talking swapped ones. There is an h22 swapped accord that a buddy of mine has, and I take him with ease, not to mention an h22 swapped del-sol with bolt ons. Not to mention the new cocky SI owners as well. You'd be suprised what I/H/E does for a tib, not to mention the intake manifold that I have added. Right now I'm throwing around the idea of forced induction.

i knew it was a unique red, thats why I asked, how much darker is it?

friend of mine has an 05 tib, i think the body styles changed a bit?

I don't have a pic, but here is a link to one:
Dreamka4u

I like the red on this car. In the sunlight, it has a very nice gloss to it, and in the shade, it looks almost darker than what it should. You would have to see it in color to see what I'm talking about.

You are correct, the body styles did change somewhat. The 05s have a different front bumper, re-designed gills on the side, diff tails, and some interior stuff.

first day he got his, brand new off the lot, 4 hours later his shift nob came loose. he was gonna glue it, luckily I was there and i just popped off the cover and tightened the screw, witch kinda scares me that it wasnt tight at all. t
