Ford Fusion
My buddy has been looking for a new car for a while and just picked up an '07 Fusion. After having the chance to really mess around with it I like this thing. The interior is nice, well designed, and clean looking. The body is tight and well fitted. Basically it's a real solid car, almost tank like. I think the hood weighs as much as the hood on my Envoy. Plus it has AWD, which is hard to find in a small car that doesn't cost a ton.
It's definitely built better than my stang and the interior is better than my Denali as far as how well everything is fitted. It's about on the same level as my mother's Lexus. It's also got a huge trunk and both rear seats fold down. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up. Ford really did a nice job on these. Plus it has the same engine as my old Mazda, which was problem free for the ~70,000 miles I had the truck. It rides really nice too. Being a small car I thought the ride would be bone jarring, but it handles bumps and NJ potholes like a champ.
The only bad thing I could see is the seats feel kind of narrow. It could be that I'm just so used to driving a truck, but it was my only annoyance. All in all, for the less than $20,000 he paid out the door it's a darn nice car.

That grill looks hideous. Maybe with some different rims, it'll grow on me.

In typical ford fashion, it looks so.... ordinary. Except for the front grill, which looks like a razor head. Gillette fusion, anyone?

It's meant to look ordinary. It's Ford's Honda Accord/Toyota Camry.

Do you not hate the Camry or the Accord?
I really do not like those cars. So cheaply made.
The fusion just looks like another Ford to me. Sure it's cool but its nothing too special.

I'm not a big fan of the bland styling of the Camry, Accord, ect. But, for an average car for an average person they're fine. Out of all of them I like the Fusion the best right now. It's built extremely well and the AWD really seals the deal. I wouldn't mind picking one up if they ever stuck that 415hp twin-turbo engine they have in and AWD one. Would make for an awesome sleeper.

What I can't understand is, they make the G35 easy to work on. Even though it uses the same basic engine. I can't figure Nissan out.
