this should be my only post in here, simply because I know next to nothing about bikes at all.
I just want to give out warnings/concern/whatever to anyone who is riding a bike. Seriously guys, take it easy on them. They are dangerous, even with a helmet on. I say this because over the summer, one of my best friends died on a motorcycle. A street bike, actually, alot like the ones you guys are talking about. I don't know the exact make/model of it, he got it after he graduated (he was a year above me, an '06 graduate), but what I do know is that he wasn't going fast (about 25 mph) around a bend, when a pickup truck stopped suddenly. Long story short, my friend came around the bend, hit the brakes, the end kicked out from behind him, and he slid into the back of the pickup, the bike going pretty much under it. He hit his head off the rear bumper, but even with the helmet on, he died at the scene. He was a good friend of mine, and it still hurts a little that he's gone.
I'm not asking for sympathy here guys, I'm just asking that you guys be extra careful when on bikes. Have fun, do your thing, but at the same time, be aware. Keep it smart, and try not to get hurt, k?

Sucks to hear man I've lost a few friends as well. I've been pretty lucky I haven't beefed it or crashed yet, considering some of the **** I pull.
