What year civic?

Crutchfield will tell you alot of speakers will fit certain applications but what they forget to mention is that you have to use an adapter ring.

You probably need these.
Universal 1" Liftring For 5-1/4" or 6-1/2" speakers at Crutchfield.com
Had a similar problem on my friend's 95 EG hatch trying to install some RF Punch's.

Be advised, whatever factory grille you had over your speakers may no longer clear once these are installed.

That's because 6.5s don't fit in the doors.. Pretty sure they are 5 1/4 or whatever the size is..

Well, not to be a dick but it's kind of obvious 6.5s wouldn't fit in a Civic.
