Muscle cars be damned! Euro-sports baby!!
Alright, to make a long story short, I am in love.
One of my close friends had a deal with his parents that if he got a full ride for school, he would get a new car. He did, and got a late 90's BMW. He and his dad have a nice collection of euro's, so they decided to keep his 190E around after the BMW. Fast forward two months, and it had been driven like once every two weeks and sat on the street outside his house. He got a warning, and then a ticket for it not ever moving. He told me about it, said the ticket was $210, and that he just saw no use to them for the car.
So, being the nice friend I am, I said that I would pay the ticket for him and give him $90. Then I said in exchange for that I would need the car for compensation. He was all in for it.
Specs...
-1989 Mercedes Benz 190E
-110,000 miles
-2.6l Inline 6
-Automatic
-Power everything
-Tan leather
-Sunroof
-Heated seats
-Every available option for the year
And yes, I bought it for $300. It is gold colored, and I am having it painted all black on sunday at my buddies dads shop. We are making a little project, masking it ourselves and doing all the prep, and my friends dad is going to come in and spray a few coats of gloss black.
Mod list
-18" black wheels with polished lip (waiting on tires)
-Euro Spec smoked head and tail lights
-Clear corners
-Polished badging
-Eurosport polished grill replacement
-5% tint
-Euro Sport style exhaust
-Homemade intake (stock one is a pain to work with/around)
I freaking love the thing. Im working on some pics of it as it sits stock so I will have comparission photos, but it looks EXACTLY like the one pictured.
Yes, for $300. Also doing a full system.

Meh, the Evo stuff is not really to my liking. Body wise im keeping it pretty stock and clean. The euro stuff looks good but the car sits so damn low already.

Right, because American and Japanese cars are not classy whatsoever.

I always loved Mercedes. They're absolute tanks. I buddy of mine had a late 70's diesel with 300,000 miles and he just couldn't kill it.

some japanese cars are okay, just not DSM <3's
But to defend my statement, its not that they can't be classy, however if you look at the euro enthusiast realm the majority of the cars have a class look and feel to them. Again I know JDM, DSM, american cars can all be just as nice, i'm just stating my own VW inspired statement.

Or just giving someone ****? I know he's a Volkswagen thumper. IMO there are a lot of Japanese cars that are way more classy then Euro cars. Just like there are a lot of euro cars more classy then American cars. Just like there's American cars more classy then euro or Japanese cars.

Aren't most of Europe's cars not even sold in the US? They have their fair share of ****ty or trashy cars.

a majority of the cars you are right aren't available in the US, but thats like sending a geo metro to europe, it wouldn't be much of a hit.

Im a fan of euro cars, big time. I plan on buying a late 90's beamer. Or a newer volkswagon. The only *** cars I like are acuras and lancers, id consider one of those as well.

One of the big reasons too, is Americans don't pay as much for cars as Europeans do. So they don't send over cars that they won't make a significant amount of money off of.
For example, here a BMW 335i starts at $39,300; in Germany the exact same car starts at $45,000 Euro's.....or about $70,000 USA dollars. Would you pay that much more just to have the same cars thy have in Europe? Not me.
