Please please please take the fairing and the plastics (what little there is) off. I love that bike naked. Now strip!

If I take it off it looks like Number 5 from Short Circuit

Error number 401

I'm sorry Z PYRO, that option is no longer avaliable. Please try one of the other/better options.
If this problem persists, take the plastics off already.

I have one, I just never trust my kickstand anymore. Whenever my bike sits at campus on the ****ty blacktop/concrete I always put a little piece of wood under it. One of the kids last week had his bike fall because the ****ty blacktop in the moto parking gave.

Side note, a kid rolled up next to me in moto parking this morning with a SCREAMING yellow Ducati 749.

UUUUUUNGG!!

Yeah my buddy Matt bought his ZX9R and it's lowered, so the kickstand was cut. Well, it fell on a hot sunny day..

I'm looking to get another bike....you guys have suggestions for the $2000-4000 range? Something fun to ride and efficient on gas, reliable, minimal maintenance, and inexpensive. I don't need a 650cc+ bike...something that goes 80mph will do...no need for 200mph capabilities

Thanks yo!

Plastics suck dick to replace. If you buy something with damage...only with really light damage.

My experience goes as far as a 125 cc Vespa scooter. I wouldn't mind working my way up to the kind of bike I want. think anything more than 650cc would be too much for me.

There is a great deal on the ebay stands. Like $100 for a front and rear. What are the spools for?

That's a good attitude to have, although if you're a bigger guy a Ninja 500 is really the best of both worlds when comes to beginner bike. An SV650 would also be something too look into. Upright ride, and generally pretty forgiving.

The spools are on the swingarm. Makes it so the bike just hooks onto the rear stand. Well you have to buy a stand that supports spools, but yeah.

Looks like this.

There's a Vortex rear stand for $75 locally, I should probably cop that.

The Gixxer met its maker today. And I almost did too. Before someone jumps my ass, no it was not my fault. It was suppose to be the last ride of the season, my brother and I were going to ride a 250 miler, and at mile 113 I got smashed by a truck that ran a red. Hit the tail of my bike broad and spun me within inches of the wheels of the truck as it went by. All in all I got a free ride in a white van with flashing lights, to a big white building and I got to stay in a little white room. Had to have surgery to repair my shoulder that was torn somehow, my brother said that it was under the bike when it spun. I'll get back on, but not this season.

I think im done riding till spring. I'm working on pics, but I really don't want to go to the impound lot and see it.

Damn that sucks ass. ****in red light running mother****ers

It also sucks that you have to stop riding cuz of the season...I just bought some new waterproof gloves and overpants I still have my waterproof and super insulated waterproof jacket I bought when I had my first bike a couple years ago. I'm all set for any rainy days.

Yup those SV650's are pretty good bikes. More than enough power for a beginner, but still tame enough for one. They tend to keep their value as well. Just check the local craigslist or paper.

Milk that ****bag for every penny he's got. My friend is still working on his settlement from somebody hitting him. He should be getting atleast $30-50k before lawyer fees. His was more severe though, sounds like you're okay. The shoulder will probably hurt you for the rest of your life, but hey it's just a shoulder. Better then severe back and neck pains and ****. Glad to hear you're okay man. Insurance will take care of you. My friend I was talking about, got hit on a 03' 600RR. He paid like $4k for it, and insurance cut him a check for $6k AND paid for his gear, which he claimed it at another $800. That right there bought him an almost new 06' R6 with like 2000 miles.
