Well, now I have two vehicles. I have the Mustang Cobra and I just bought a 2002 V6 Mazda Tribute for $15,000. In the long run it is actually cheaper for me to have two vehicles then have the Cobra as my primary. 0? Plus I really needed something I can drive in the winter (being mom is using the explorer and the old blazer I drive for plowing is too uncomfortable to ride around in). I'm picking up the Mazda when I get back from my trip. For now here is the Cobra (confirmed at being atleast 420hp/420lb-ft tq):
("newtoy" is the day it came home, cobrablock2 is the engine, back is the back taken on the first day, svtcert is my owners certificate saying I own a limited edition vehicle...I edited out my VIN though)

True American Muscle DOes not Need NOS. NOS is nothing but a Fast way to ruin an Engine. But yes it does add some quick speed. Not worth ruining a Motor Over though.

Thats why you build the motor strong enough to use nitrous.

I have a 1997 Red Camaro. I'm not good with pics, but it looks pretty nice.
The guy who had it before me took awsome care of it.

My Tans AM is mostly stock, I got a new interior to replace the old one. I wouldnt dare touch the car, because it should be a crime to not mess around with ameican muscle. NOS on a muscle would piss off the car gods soo much...
Oh yeah, and American Muscle>Ricers

Thank you! Brotha speaks the truth.
Seriously, why ruin a GTO with NOS? A decent GTO on ebay will run at least 10G's. A GTO will give you enough horsepower as it is.
My dad's ol GTO, he would tape a 20 dollar bill to the dashboard on the passanger side. His friends would sit and try to get the bill while he floored it. Lets just say noone ever got it.
NOS is tits on Toyotas and such. Now I like American Muscle and Ricers, thats just me.
If I got to choose any of the following, here it is.
American Muscle Car: Dodge Charger
Japenese Ricer Car: Toyota Supra
Crotch Rocket: GSX-R 600
Duo, I've lost all respect for you. Trading a beautiful RSX for a 4-door banger Civic.

I don't see where the term "ricer" and compact cars became the same thing. To me, a "ricer" is a person who puts expensive, non-preformance increasing cosmetic parts on their car, or a car with such modifications. To most people on this forum, a "ricer" defines any car with less than six cylinders and/or less than 250 cubic inches of plant volume. Its one thing to not like your average otherwise stock Civic, stock besides the bodykits, spoiler and resonated exhaust tip...but its another when you generalize that any compact car sucks, and the people who drive them are gay.

Yeah I agree. To me a ricer is all show, no go. Anything else is just a compact car or an import.

thank god someone has the same point of view as me. lets say u take an integra ls. and u want vtec, so u do a ls/vtec swap by changing heads ecu etc. thats not rice, u have just built a pretty quick car, now slap on same basic mods and you've got a 13 second car (not that thats some kinda record but u know what i mean)

But your Rod/Stroke ratio isn't that good. I have my reasons why I would not do an LS/Vtec swap. If it was soo awesome, how come it didn't come stock on an LS teg from the start? You are also mating a head that was designed to work in the higher rpms compared to the block that was meant to have a more low-end punch than its VTEC counterpart. LS is a torquier engine than the B18C1. Yet, it lacks the VTEC kick. Ls teg is also better for turbo to start with, lower compression and the bottom end is a little better built. A turbo B20 in a Civic hatch would be a good project, especially if it was a sleeper. Yes, there are fast Hondas out there, but it takes a lot of money to make one.

Yes, I also have the same point of view as you other guys. I love Muscle Cars, AND I love Imports, but not always---->, what I hate about them is when a person goes out and buys (just and example) a Honda Civic, from there they buy a nice set of rims, an exhaust tip, those things are okay IMO, but after that they get things like a huge rear wing that does absolutely NOTHING when you only have roughly 130hp!, then they buy a body kit (nothing wrong with one, just DO NOT GO OVERBOARD!) and alot of them actually do go overboard and their Civic looks like a space shuttle that's about to go into orbit! Then they get neons and flashy lights, super flashy graphics sometimes! While doing all that they have absolutely NO | |
