I am getting kicked off the computer so that's all i have ta say for now

this istrue about the wing, with only 130 or w/e low amount of hp. but lets say ur runnin a 220 horse honda civic with a nice lip kit and suspension work, and racing on the track, that rear wing is going to help keep your rear end from sliding out coming out of a corner, also known as understear. if u look at the mugen track cars they have a spoiler on the rear end. they have better quality **** than APC though, if ur car has any APC **** on it, its automatically a ricer, doesnt matter what else u have, imo lol

LOL i couldnt agree more with you haha... yes i was only talking about a civic with 130hp, because if it DID have 220hp then the wing WOULD help.... lol

Actually it is oversteering when the rear end slides. It's also called being loose. When the car is tight, or understears, you will go through a turn and the car will want to go in a straight line instead of turning. That is also called having a push.

I do not have a turbo motor. Turbo rotaries were availible on the second generation RX-7s (the Turbo II model, single-turbo 13B), and they were availible on the Third generation RX-7s (all of them were twin turbocharged 13Bs).
I have been contemplating what set-up I want to get in the future. A very common swap is the Turbo II motor in the first gen. I have always wanted one of these, but as of lately, my attention has been drawn to the Supercharger kits offered at Atkinsrotary.
The supercharger just makes more sense to me, considering that one of the the rotary engines biggest drawbacks is the lack of torque. A supercharger (generally speaking) makes a more linear styled power, as opposed the the "peaky" styled power of a turbo. This would definately help make more torque, but on the other hand, a small, quick spooling turbo will also help with the bottom end.
Money wise, a 7" Camden supercharger with boost-prepped Holley Carb and all the fixin's needed is (if memory serves me correct) $3500. Now, I can pick up a *** Spec Turbo II motor with 30,000km on it on eBay or from a buddy of mine for ~$2000. However, to get the motor, installed, and have a custom exhaust manifold made will put me in the range of $4000 (for a basic set-up) to as high as your imagination can fathom.
Naturally, if I were going to drop in the TII motor, I would probably have the motor streetported (a grand or two), and I'd up the boost a little.
However, if I got my motor rebuilt (a grand or so) and got the supercharger, I could have ~280-320+ horsepower for ~$4500 (minus knick-knack crap).
P.S. for those of you thinking "Only 280-320 horsepower?" a 300 wheel horsepower first generation RX-7 is easily in the low 12 second/high 11 second quarter mile range. You have to remember, the first gen only weighs around 2300 pounds...
Sorry for the long post...

I thought I have seen that RX-7 before. That has to be one of the cleanest ones I have ever seen. Here's my 1990 Eagle Talon. A little rough around the edges, but it is my winter project car. I intend to have it running and hopefully have all the body work done by spring. I am still debating whether to put the stock spoiler back on, though. She has 2.5" Cat-back w/an Arospeed muffler, K&N Intake w/ Dejon Tool intake pipe, TurboXS H-34 BOV, Autometer Ultralite Boost Gauge, DSM Link, KYB AGX Gas Shocks, Eibach Springs.

whats the model on the talon. i know eclipses have gs-x, and gs-t, are the talons the same, since there basically the same car? id get a 1st gen gsx if i could find one around here for a good price. 1st gen sleepers are sooo Hot, just like ur rx7
300 horses in any car is gonna run around 12's depending on weight. old ass light cars can fly with little amounts or horses. a buddy of mine has a 90' crx hf (weighs about 1900 lbs ), with an integra gsr motor, i/h/e = about 190 horse. and it will run low 13's, he's plannin on a stage 2 rev hard turbo kit, like 15psi. hes wants to hit 11's. i cant wait, his parents sponsor him btw, there both doctors

Talon is the TSi AWD model.
DL=Base Talon, 1.8 92 hp
ES/ESi=A step up, 2.0 135 hp
TSi=Turbo model, 1.0 195 hp
yes, they are the same car, just different badging. My goal for the car is for it to look like right when it rolled off the assembly line. I am really going for the sleeper look on this one. Hopefully the gauges and the S-AFC II and FMIC will not give it away. I wanna run a low 13 on the 14B, but I want this car into the 12s (a high 11 would be nice). I know what you mean about the first-gens, though. I have looked forever around here and have not been able to get a decent deal on one. Every one has too many miles and asks too much.

they are very hard to find with low mileage, i can find 2nd gen eclipses with like 75k, but the asking price is insane

First gens with low mileage are almost impossible to find. I saw a 91 w/44k in the trader a couple weeks back, but they wanted 6.5k for it. Second gens aren't much better pricewise, anyways.
