The new 2005 Z06 vette is going to have a 427ci 500hp V8. Being it will weigh over 100lbs less then the 2004 Viper it should be able to pull better then Viper numbers.

That's not the real fun part though, the "Blue Devil" is, for 2006 they are working on making a 625hp version from a supercharged 427ci motor that will be less then 3,000lbs. They will cost a little over $100,000 though, which isn't bad considering it only has 35 less HP then a Ferrari Enzo which is going for over $1 Million now.

I still wanna get the Cobra Concept if they start producing them. 427ci 605hp and 501 ft. lb.'s of torque, without a supercharger or turbo and it's 3,075 lb.'s...so hot.

Did you see the changed version of the concept? For production it is going to be a Daytona Coupe looking Cobra first, then possibly the roadster Cobra version if there is enough interest. I'll go scan you some pictures of it.

Anyway, here are two pictures of the Cobra in production Daytona Coupe form. Before you say, "What's a Daytona Coupe?" that was the version of the 427 Cobra that was fastest and handled the best. It was the one Shelby took to Europe and beat everyone with at their own game. Technically it was the last version of a true Shelby Cobra. It never gained the interest of the previous Cobra's in America though because open top roadsters were the fad at the time.

Here is what the production coupe looks like, it still has the same motor though, just the looks changed.

Yeah, I'm not sure on how I feel about it either. Maybe it'll look better in real life. It's hard to say. I definately prefer the older styles though. Especially the Stingray bodies. Mmm, amazingness...

The Blue Devil should have no problem blowing the GT away, the ZO6 version should pull about the same numbers. It will have a little less hp, but weigh 300lbs less. The blue devil isn't meant to compete with the Enzo though, it is made to compete with the next Shelby Cobra/Shelby GR-1 from Ford.

itl be close but the gt will still take it
yea your putin in all the hp numbers but your forgetin torque and the vet is a pretty heavy car
and the gt 0-60 is faster than the enzo becasue ford designed the gt to do 0-60 and stay in 1st gear
i know the enzo can blow away the vet

yea the vet has power but its weight/frame is not designed as well as the GT and of course the enzo

about 2 months ago Automoblie magazine did a whole review of some of the cars now adays the GT won it even blew away the Saleen S7 its 0-60 time is faster than the enzo but not the 1/4 mile

id bet the gt and the enzo would outhandle the vette like no other.

gt isnt anything special for a supercar on the straightaway, but it handles like a mofo. thats what u pay for. same with the enzo, except its nice on the straightaway too.

plus these are production cars. not heavily modded performance cars where only 5 or less are made per year......

well i know there are 200 Enzos and the GT will be made for 3 years so there will probly be plenty of them to go around and there will probly be not as many bluedevls as the GT because the bluedevil is a very special vette and as always there will be many of the regular Z06

Ford GT: 550hp/500 lb-ft tq weight 3390lbs

Vette "Blue Devil": 625hp/600lb-ft tq weight 2,900lbs

They both have close to the same gearing and the same rear end, so as long as the vette has good rubber in the same size or larger it should be able to blow the GT away. It should also handle just as well as the GT. The GT isn't the greatest car on the track, its weight distribution is way off so it is a difficult car to push. Look at the slalom numbers, they are usually equel to a Crysler crossfire. I don't know what you are talking about the GT blowing away the Enzo in 0-60, the Enzo is on average half a second faster 0-60 and in 1/4mile it is about 2 seconds faster on average. Maybe you read wrong, the Ferrari usually compared to the GT is the Challenge Stradale which is the car it was made to beat, which is the one it does beat in 0-60 but only the trap speed is higher in the quarter given equel driving ability. I think you are the one that needs to read up bud. By the way, I never said the Blue Devil could beat the Enzo in anything, I just said it only has 35 less Hp for a car that cost 1/10 of the price, which makes it a much better and much more amazing buy IMHO. As far as production numbers 199 Enzo's were made for public, about 2,400 Ford GT's are planned, and as far as we know the Blue Devil could become a full production car. It is only in the prototype stage, they could make like 500 a year for like 8 years which would be more then the GT.
