You guys can not be serious. Insurance is not only for you. Its for the guy or the family that you hit. Insurance makes it so when someone is riding like a punk, and they blaze some kid, or another bike for that matter, the victims family won't be stuck with all the medical bills. Not only that, you dont always die in motorcycle accidents. If that were the case I would not be typing this right now. I have numerous friends that have been down, after all, the saying "its not if you go down, its when" is totally true.

I used to ride alot. My uncle owns a honda shop and have been riding hondas since I could ride a pedal bike. I was set to put money into a downed 04 1000rr from my uncles shop when one of my better friends was hit by a stupid tourist who didn't know how to signal. It made it really hard for me to feel comfortable ridng after that. I was always really panicky. I can ride its just right now I don't enjoy it. Falls coming anyway. After a fat enlistment bonus I will be able to afford a bike again and a new place to ride will get me on the bike more again.

I know about insurance I know why its half and arm or half the leg. I wish it was cheaper but theres nothing you can do.
