Just curious, where does it say no illegal comments in the rules? After seeing tons of threads on underage drinking, smoking pot, downloading music/movies/programs, and other illegal comments, are you guys changing the rules? Or did he post something else?

alpha you better watch your tone when you talk to me like that. I would be over that just as fast if it were a support or even mod. When the auto section rules were first posted I asked what our policy would be...it states this
6. It's awesome if you blew some guy away racing, but only if it was done legally. We don't condone illegal street racing, speeding, or braking the law. So please, if it is something that could get you in trouble keep it to yourself. We hold no responsibility for what someone's post about racing could make someone else do, but we would feel bad if something happened to one of our members. So please act smart and don't try what you may read if it isn't safe.

I don't care what other mods set as there rules but we agreed that was our stance. period.

Ok, thanks. I didn't see/read that. I just assumed the auto section would have the same rules as the lounge.

I don't agree with it, but rules are rules. I wish the mods could rethink their stance on this, because I feel it's a double standard, but if that's the rules then whatever.

we just don't want guys getting hurt doing things they do anyway. I feel that if you wanna talk about that go to a racing site...and more than likly there will be a dozen guys who jump you right away for giving them a bad image. Street racing is a problem if your safe it can still be deadly. Just don't talk about it in front of a bunch of kids who are about to get there license and try it. not safe for inexperienced drivers.

its not a double standard because I don't hold another standard anywhere else. it would be understandable if i were a lounge mod leting people talk about it but I don't. I even stopped a pot thread from having the ability to talk about teqnuiges wow bad speeler. And only about issues and opinions.

it is illegal I hold that truthfull in my sections so it stands.

I for one am strongly against it. Too much risk to take on the street. When you race, you make a choice to put your life and others on the line. You may want to impress your g/f in the car with you with your "fast" compact to a stang, but you'll think that if you wreck and kill her and you walk away from it. I've seen this happen. Its not always people you know, but it can be the ones you really care about. I hate when a ricer revs the p*** outta his engine trying to get me to race. And my buddies may tell me to show him what I've got, yet I feel like I have nothing to prove to that moron. TFATF didn't help it much, either, it just encouraged kids to do it more. Street racing will probably never go away, yet the next time you decide to put your life on the line for your ego, think of what could happen. That passenger with you may not be there 15 seconds down the road, or that little child crossing the street, or even your opponent. My point: don't do it, and if you are going to, take it to the track for bragging rights, and keep it off the street.
