98' Sunfire, runs good, great shape.

My sister's boyfriend is selling it next summer for 1000 to me if I'm interested.

I found some nice side skirts and bumpers for it for 200 bucks and some nice paint.

Think I should go for it?

well i got my 88 tbird for that much, so sounds like a sweet deal. just be sure there isn't anything hidden that you should know about.

how many miles are on it?

2.2 liter or 2.4l

Test drive it.....really test drive it, baby it and beat on it see if there are any noises from the suspension, under the hood. Look for oil leaks and also pay attention for transmission slippage.

if its all good running i would say go for it, just not to often you see that new of a car go that cheap....even with high mileage unless its been damaged

my chicks got a 95 sunfire. It looks really secksy, but her engine is a 4 banger and is really slow accelerating. If its a V-6 sure go for it, but if its a 4cyl i would look elsewhere. Maybe its just me, but I love the feel of my V6 going into 3rd when im merging on the highway. When I drive her car I always think im gonna die when I get on the highway.

Yeah I will need a car for summer and work next year. Keep in mind I am most likely paying for the insurance. Not like I can go find some souped up car as my first one.

At first I was going to buy my sister's Turbo Eclipse for 5,400 but my parents won't let me.

for a 98 in good condiditon thats a sick deal. go for it unless you happen to find something better

Yeah even the milage ain't too bad. I think it's under 80,000.

Thats a great deal if the car is in ok shape but you should defintaly try and get ur sis's 'clipse b/c that would be sick.
