350z
So my cousins gf has a 350z. It's a pretty quick little car, but WTF is up with traction control? You can't catch a gear because of it. So I figured, hey, let's turn it off. Guess what, you can't. How do you make a mean ass car without being able to turn off TCS? Kinda dumb to me. Oh well.

You should be able to turn it off. I can turn it off in the Cobra. Did you look in the owners manual?

Skimmed through the owners manual, didn't see anything. It's no big deal. It's just you can set the rev limiter and all, but it says nothing for TCS. Like I said no big deal, I was just wondering why he wasn't slammin gears on the way to the store.

The bad thing though is you can't burn out if you want to or spin the wheels around turns and such. That's no fun.

Is there a fuse for it like ABS? If so, you can pull the fuse for it...
I don't know if there is or not, though.

I think I figured out how. On a 350z forum it said you can turn it off under the dash to the left of the steering wheel. Will post result when I try it.

the newer camaro's come w/ traction control which is totally gay! you can't burnout i your new camaro!!?! so the power tuner companies came out w/ their new models for the new cars, and they included some programming to turn off the traction control. that may be what you'll have to do to that350Z. the most involved that it could get would be for it to recuire you to replace an easily removed chip in the cars ecu.

It's not his, it's gis gf's. I'm sure she wouldn't want a new chip in her car. I was just wandering if we missed it.

My 300Z doesn't have TCS so I don't have to worry about it. But I would guess that there is definitely a way to turn it off.

Mine also has a button and you can turn it off. I have a Performance Model. You can spin the tires with or without it on. I wouldn't suggest pulling any fuses. Especially if you don't know what you are looking for. This a fun car to drive. Tell your brother's girlfriend to visit www.350zmotoring.com. She will get a lot of information on the car if wants to.
