Luminous Paintballs?
I thought I had a great idea, make a paintball that glows with chemo-Luminous material on impact. I began the patent prosess only to find that it has allready been done. BUMMER But why do I not find any Luminous Painballs on the market?

wtf is chemo-luminous? I know there are glow in the dark paintballs....
Also...is this chemo-luminous toxic? if it is...it cant be used.

Its made by draxxus. And it glows in the dark, about 80 a case, needs a special hopper to light up the balls or whatever.

na just a light in your hopper, clear hoppers at night with those balls would be fun, specialy speed ball at night no lights. aww man.

Yes the same as glow sticks and no it is not toxic. I hand built some test prototypes and they worked well. They leave a bright glow of any color on impact. Day-glow matterial could also be built into them to make them brightly colored day or night.
No one here ever seen anything like it? Would you use them if they were available?

glow sticks stain things rather well if they break open. I assume these balls would do the same.

so they dont glow all the time right? just wen they break? that would be SAWEET playin a 24 hr scenario game with, at nite u see sumthin move, pop a shot, and see the guys face light up.... literally. haha.

i was talking about jimmy's idea. he sed they r like glowsticks, glow stick light up wen they break. i no that there are pbs that glow with a light in the hopper... i read magazines too.

Labbmonkey is right, they glow on impact only.
I am trying to work out a few issues
1. the glowing spot they leave last a long time. The chemistry can be adjusted to make them brighter for less time or dimmer for a long time, I am working on it.
2. chem-light is primarily yellowy green and dye is added to filter only the color of the chem-light stick. The colors in the prototype balls tend to have a greenish hue. I am looking for other chemistry that produces different primary collor however I so far have not found any.
