The old Montneel guns had that.
In fact, it was patented which probobly explains why you don't see it around.

both the montneel guns and the palmers use something to that effect. though palmers is more of a clamp like what is found on a ccm feeneck.

it would be a good idea... or at least more barrels with threads like 98c's and such (i dont know much about the higher end guns,) but owning a spyder cllone, i hate the threading on them barrels, it takes so long to take off, and when you get a break in the barrel, you just dont have that time.. specially if you dont have a battle swab or anything of that nature...

yeh, it would be quick disconnect barrels, if you get a barrel break, snap it out, run a straight shot through, snap it back in. even if there is patents, they could alter the desighn.

The MONTNEEL SYSTEM:

Its pretty nice. Its based on the old Bushmaster system from the 1980s, except the old Bushmasters used a thumbscrew, while the Montneel had a "quick release pin".

The BLAZER uses a system like old Tippmanns. Pretty nice, except I think you need a tool to remove? or is it a thumbscrew?

The Stingray was also pretty nice. Used 2 pins. The only problem was it was TOO EASY to loose those pins!

well, i dont know alot about automags, but i think some of them take specific automag barrels that are held in by o-rings. there was some other form of mag that took cocker barrels too.

well, you would push the barrel in, then twist clockwise, then pull out

A few other guns have used the Mag-style twist lock.
For example, the whole Viper-M1 series use it, though its not compatable with AGD guns.

I personally do not like it just because they seem hard to remove.
