Balls going crazy
heys guys new to the forums...but been playing for some time...
i have 98 custom with a J&J Ceramic Barrel...
i kno that the stock tippmann barrels suck thus leading me to buying the new barrel
i played today with a bunch of friends, but noticed this time that my pbs will go like 100 feet and the take an erratic course change by going strait up or down or a sharp turn to the right or left
if anyone can help me correct this or at least lessen the problem...it would be appreciated..thnks(im thinking it may be velocity)

ah, most likely bad paint (is it old? are there dimpels?) or to high velocity.

the breech is were the ball drops into the gun from the feedtube(the thing that connects the gun to the hopper).
Make sure the feedtube, bolt, and breech are ok. If they are then maybe you got old paint or something

I think you're on to something with the velocity thoughts. Check it over a chrono if you have access to one.
Otherwise, see how the paint matches the bore of the barrel. Take the barrel off and put a ball in the threaded end. If it rolls through with no problem, it is too small. Small paint likes to spin sometimes and that could cause it to dive off to one side after flying a little.

A chrono is a device used to measure the speed of paintballs. It is short for the full name, Chronograph.
It is either a stopwatch looking device that is handheld or a large red rectangular shaped metal box. you shoot your gun over them and it tells you the feet per second that your ball is traveling.
280 fps is standard velocity. Your shop would probably have one, but ive never chronoed at a shop before. I usualy use the one at the field.

Could you blow it out with your mouth? If so, it's a good enough fit.
If it got really stuck in there and you had to poke it out with a stick or something then the paint is too big.
