Tips??
i was goin to buy a barrel and then put a diferent color tip on the end, but when i was lookin online i couldnt understand what it ment. i was lookin at one and it said "Dye Barrel Tips- Colours available - Lengths are (10", 12", 14", 16" ,18"). Choosing a tip will create the Over All length of the barrel." and then i thought well if those r the lengths of the tips wont it mke my barrel like 28" long. someone please get back to me because im so . because arnt u suppose to add these tips onto the end of ur barrel. uless, r u suppose to buy somthing like a Smart Parts Freak Back and then add the tip onto that?

When they say 14" Tip, they mean the overall barrel will be 14".

Because Freak tips go onto Freak backs, and they are all the same length. And J&J tips can only go on J&J backs for the same specific barrel. You can't mix and match barrel backs and tips.
What kind of barrel do you have? Whatever it is, say it was a Freak, and you wanted a 14" tip. Look for a 14" tip for the Freak barrel, specifically.

"choosing tip will create overall barrel lenght" that means they've figured it out already. Leaving the simple choice of which color to you.
Each company out there has different threading for their fronts to connect to the backs. So a freak tip can't be put on a j&j and a ultralight back can't hook up with a cp front.

If you're considering the Freak, don't. Consider a Powerlyte Scepter. A better Freak, basically. Can be a very nice kit, and they are cheap. Ultralite barrels are pretty nice, but on the expensive side for just being a barrel. Also look into Stiffi's. They are very nice barrels/kits.
I'd say get a 14".

hmm why dont you decide on which gun youre getting before going for barrels...with all your threads it seems like you havent even figured out which gun youre going to get, and make sure you get the correctly threaded barrel.

Inserts don't fit perfect, and can become bent out of shape or something like that pretty easily. Smart Parts uses low quality aluminum with all of their products.
Just check out a Scepter online and you will see why it's better.

Well, if you use an AA back, then you just have an AA barrel. The AA doesn't use inserts, and isn't a barrel kit like the Freak is. But you can use the AA and Freak tips on both the Freak and AA backs I think. May have a universal threading to them. So, the AA is just a normal 2-piece barrel. And I'd personally get the AA tip because I think it looks better, isa little lighter, and the porting is easier to clean. But other then that, the AA tip and Freak tip are the same, just tips.

yeah you can put the AA fronts on the freak backs, and i like the way they look too, over the freak anyways. but seriously, decide on a gun before looking for barrels

Nah, I mean like, the tips are all the same thread for any gun. Tip from Shocker Freak can fit on a back from a Cocker. They should be if they aren't like that.
