i'm confused on which one to buy. i've looked at reviews and they both have basically the same ratings right now i have a freak with all american front but it just doesnt shoot straight. which out of the two would you recommend and why? plus i have an ion

Either of those would be an excellent choice. It depends on how you rate the differences on which one to buy:

The Ultralite is an all aluminum 2pc barrel so it can be re-anno'd if you wish. You could buy a longer or shorter tip if you want later, but if you only buy one back, you only have one bore size. Resale is pretty good.

The Whisper is almost all Carbon fiber so it is light an it takes freak inserts which it sounds like you already have. If you want to try a different legnth later, you would need to purchase another Whisper barrel. Resale is excellent due to not many being out there.
