Ive looked through this forum and i couldnt find anyone else who has asked about this. but what would be a good barrel in terms of accuracy for the tippmann x7, im seriously considering the flatline for distance, but is there anything that would be mnore accurate?

The X-7 uses The same threading as the A-5 and Pro-Carbine.

As for your question what kind of budget were you looking at?

well i can throw a hundred dollars or so for a barrel. Thats how much i can find the flatline for, just wonderin if theres anything better.

Freak Junior is good and you can upgrade it to a full Freak kit. And in my opinion is worth the investment if your going to have different guns. I use the same set of inserts and fronts on all my guns and just switch the back to match the gun.

Also the Evil pipe is a another good kit and costs a little less. The down side of it is if you get a new gun with a different barrel threads you will need to buy a new set of backs.

i really am more of a woodsballer, do those focus more on accuracy or distance?

Accuracy, because what good is distance if your not sure if the shot will hit about the same spot every time?

yeah and with distance means inertia so more bounces..so go with another barrel unless your shooting like tourny quality paint that always breaks.

well i just bought me a EQUINOX AK 47 barrel, i bought it because i myself play only woodsball and it will give me an ak look and feel to my gun. it should be here tomorrow or monday but when i get it i will let you know how it is. ps forgot to mention the barrel is a 14" barrel. you can find it on ebay just type this in the search> EQUINOX AK 47

okay so i got the barrel yesterday and instantly threw it on my x7. i invited 4 friends over just to get a small game goin on and see how the barrel performed. it turns out that this barrel may be the best one ive had yet, the flatlines were nice but to picky on paint and became expensive quick. and believe it or not the ak barrel is pretty accurate when aiming with the sights. granite you dont do that in paintball but if you ever want to practice or target shoot. but as for performance on the field it was very accurate wich actually kinda suprised me. the game was just a regular team game 3on2 i had the team of three because i had to help even out the abilities on the team but i took out both other player with the same 3 shots. i came up on the 2 guys one was in a corn field and the other was in the woods id say about 30ft apart from eachother and i took a three shot burst. 1st shot hit cornfield guy in the mouth area of his mask. 2nd shot missed and the 3rd shot hit the man in the woods right in the center of his chest. and id say they were about 100ft from me. so id say the barrel did real well. and i believe it was a good buy.
