Two Questions,

I was just wondering does a barrel with muzzle break actually help to increase accuracy (by decreasing turbulence in the barrel and wobble on exit), or is this just hype, look, and style?

Also, how much porting in a barrel do you want if any? I know too much can hurt, but besides the point of how loud the exit of the air/paintball is with no porting, can too little or no porting have adverse side effects on accuracy, and velocity of the paintball?

No a muzzle break will not do anything. A muzzle break is used to reduce recoil in large caliber weapons. The porting does help as it prevents the ball from 'popping' out of the barrel. This is not much of a problem with two piece barrels as the front half is a larger bore than the back.

The amount of porting only really needs to be 2 to 3 inchs, less on really short barrels. FYI the ball does all of its accellerating in the first 5 to 7 inches of the barrel.

My stock A-5 barrel has a single ring of port holes about 6 inchs down the barrel.
