Ball drop test(chart) need everyones help.
Hey guys.
This is my idea.
I'll post the directions for a ball drop test on here. Eveyone does the test with the balls they have and post the type and results. If they can also the actual data. If someone has the same balls as someone else they can still do it to help cover the chance of a bad batch. In the end I'll put a chart together so everyone can use it to see how strong/brittle the balls they are buying are.
Drop test(not my idea)
You take ten balls out of your bag and go outside (dry day). Take one ball and hold it 6 ft in the air. Drop it onto concrete (not wood or anything soft, also not ruff pavement) as it bounces catch it. Catching it is key, if you dont catch it ignore that one and get another one from the bag. If you did catch it drop it again and again (remember how many time) until it breaks. Record your results of the 10 balls. scratch off the highest and lowest score to get rid of defects and add the other 8 and divide by 8.
Post
Your balls, and final result, also all ten numbers if you can, so we can compair if someone else has the same type. Also post your opinion on the balls and your barrel. (very good, good, ok, seconds)
very good = accurate, break on target not in gun, no dimples
good = some dimples pretty accurate, almost no breaks (barrel)
ok = not all the same size, not all accurate, break in/out of gun
seconds = for the back yard/ for fun they suck
ex.
Nightcat tournament paint
1.6
1,1,3,1,4,2,1,2,2,1 (take away 4 and 1)
good, 14in teardrop
32 deg competition
3.4
3,5,3,1,4,3,6,3,3,6
good, 14in teardrop
Thats how to do it. This would be useful if everyone took the 5 min to do it.
thanks guys
