Here's everything you need to know about the Flatline, from my experiences. This is for people who are considering buying it, not haters who disagree with what I'm saying.

Costly, but one of the better improvements for accuracy and distance. I go speedballing every weekend with my FL and I get MVP every time, it's insanely accurate as cloe ranges, I jsut play back man and snipe.

Paint-to-barrel match has somewhat to do with accuracy, but not much. You shoudln't go around asking, is this .688 or .689 caliber paint??? like a retard.

CO2 works pretty well, excet for when I use my RT too much on auto and too much liquid comes out of the front. But there's a couple ways to fix that: A) Get a cheap nitro tank
B) Punch holes in the feedneck to let the gas escape.
C) Get an X-chamber (only for Co2) to get better consistency.

What I've found the most useful in making my FL accurate is the speed at which you shoot. Get your gun chrono'ed at 280 and the thing will destroy all opponents. Use the rear sight and start taggin'.

Install it right and get your gun chrono'ed often and you're set for the most accurate barrel on the market.

I had one for my a-5 its nice but its not spectacular and I disagree with people who say its the best barrel on the market.

This is just asking for a flame pit. Second, flatline is a barrel, so for now on, all flatline threads will be put in the barrel section. No exceptions!!! All these threads do is cause trouble, so kiss 'em good bye, they will no longer be here.

Awww come on Brian. Its unique to the tippmann it belongs here. What if I were to make a thread going into great detail with pics on how to properly install and align the flatline?

EDIT:Ok maybe not unique totally because of that bananna barrel for the cockers but since that one is not widely used it makes it pretty unique to tippmanns

Nah actually there is an autococker with a flatline also. I saw them for sale about a month or so ago. Never heard of anyone buying one though.

The flatline sucks. If you stay back and snipe in speedball you suck. If you want accuracy get HPA and a reg, not a barrel that spins your balls around. Try snap shooting with one, its impossible, its so big and if you tilt it at any angle over 20 degrees it spins off to the side. A back man doesnt snipe, he closes off lanes and provides cover, I seriously doubt you are doing anything, you're probably taking credit for your front men who are actually hitting people.

That whole tiltling the gun and the balls flying off to the side is total bull. Mine has never done that. There are just too many rumors started by people that dont know jack about the flatline.

This is what I'm talking about! I just got my flatline, and I'm sure, for those who are willing to tweak it, and get it to that exact working spot, its awesome. When it was clean, and adjusted right, it was amazing. Flat as hell, and hella far to boot. But once balls broke, pshhhhh, down hill from there. Best thing to do is try one. For me, a straight barrel is gonna be much better. It's all preference, and how willing you are to keep its performance up to par.

hah. Flatlines are horrible barrels. Yes, I have had one for several years. Yes the distance is great. Yes the trajectory is great. However the Accuracy is downright horrendous. Break a ball? forget about shooting through it, you have to take the entire thing apart to get all the paint out, and any paint in the barrel left over brings down the accuracy even more.
Overall if your looking to pay $110 for a barrel, there are MUCH better choices.

(A-5 Flatline is better though)

Ok you say that your stock barrel can only shoot 5% as far as your flatline?
Well lets see.... Tippmann CLAIMS that a flatline can shoot 250ft, so we will give them the benfit of the doubt and use that number...
