J&J ceramic and pretty colors
does the J&J ceramic barrel come in other colors besides black? is there a way to change the color without painting the whole thing by hand?

do you know how, where, or for how much i can get it anno'd? my gun is a dark bluish-gray and silver, but there are apparently two different kinds of "silver" the barrel on my gun is a darker shade of silver than my dads gun, probablly one is stainless steel and one aluminum, which is which?
edit: here is my gun
http://airgunsbbguns.com/gameface-erexpro-dme4.html
i think it is just a review and not selling anything so i hope i dont get in trouble again... anyways, the picture is kind of bad because the actual color of the gun is darker. but the first part of the barrel which is silver is darker than aluminum, can i get a barrel anno'd this color? (I dont want the blue part at all, just the silvery color on the whole barrel)
this is my dad's gun http://airgunsbbguns.com/gameface-erexelite-dme3.html compare the color of the barrels.

google paintball gun annodizing. Shh, did that ever occur to u? Google is like the answer to ever internet problem use the damn thing.
Whats the price for a barrel like $25 right? I dunno, b/c i've never had it done. I "think" that they can try that. Looks like just a flat silver color. Also most anno places can try to match the color. The only problem is when say the color is on say steel and u want it on say aluminum u will get a slightly differnt shade.

I'm pretty sure you can only anno aluminum, depending on what you want anoo'd and by who you have it done, prices will vary. Check out Max Annodizing, they do good work.

Right, Anodizing is almost strictly amulminum. Not that it matters here, but Titanium can be done too, but the process is slightly different.
You could probably have it powdercoated, it's a hard finish that will work on most anything.

well most of the trigger frame is black, the ASA and part of the expansion chamber are black, so it might work with a black barrel. but im curious, what is powdercoating?

Powder coating is a coloring process that almost bridges painting and annodizing.
A fine powder, made of color and epoxy particles, is sprayed onto a metal part using air pressure and a sprayer. The spraygun gives the powder a positive electric charge, while the metal part is grounded, or negative. This makes the powder stick to the metal...simaliar to static cling. The part, now covered in powder is then baked in an over at around 400 degrees for 10-20 minutes. The powder melts and flows into a solid coating which is fairly durable. In some cases the parts are heated before hand so that the powder will stick even better, and then baked afterwards to melt it.
So it's applied more like a paint, but is durable like an anno job.
It's seen on some custom car parts, and metal things like metal patio furnature...washing machines...things of that nature.
As a second thought though, baking like that might destroy the teflon/ceramic mix on the barrel. I haven't had much experience with J&J's, although I plan on getting one in the near future.

Umm.. you can't anno, paint, or powdercoat a J&J ceramic barrel. The coating they have on there is a teflon impregnatted polymer that makes the barrel smooth. In order to paint/anno/powdercoat - you would have to strip that off and then the barrel would be basically worthless.
