Looks like an ion, sort of, but people were saying it looks better in person, and that it doesn't look like an ion in person.

The feedneck is also part of the body so it will not come off, and it sits super low, so the bottom of the loader is only abhout a 1 mm from the top of the bolt.
Also, this is straight from Bob's mouth:
RELEASE DATE IS SEPTEMBER 8TH
This has two sets of eyes.
Ron said he got 6 pods and a hopper off of 1200 psi from a 68, and Zach was getting about the same.
Um, yeah.....except its an entirely different operating system. Also, if you compare the build quality of an ion (or any sp gun for that matter) to a timmy, its a joke.
Anyways, if I'm reading it right, then they built a timmy into a single tube? Thats impressive. I love my timmy, I'll defenitely be looking at this when it comes out.

why? The design is entirly new and looks impressive. Bobs done it up in fancy milling and introduced some new ideas.
The design isn't new, it's basically an ebolted tippman, except of course it was designed with it always being an electropneumatic speedball gunfrom the start, versus the taking a blowback woodsball gun and shoving a ram and electronics into it.
It's definately a neat idea (especially since I had the same thing in mind for a while ), but I don't see it being particularly revolutionary. There will probably be some bugs to work out with the first model too, just like any new gun.
I too had thought of this idea and how cool it would be in a gun. The size of a spooler with the efficancy of a popper valve gun. Yeah, it shares a little with a tippy.
I think it's got promise. It's the first to actually get this idea out there sucessfully, e-tippys never really took off. Can't wait to see what the 2 sets of eyes will be used for (i've got 2 ideas right now) and what the aftermarket comes up with. Also the first gun to market with the new feedneck setup, that i first saw on that deadly wind gun.

I've seen it better pics of it. It's nice looking. In the pics I seen it had a CP reg and a set up Hybrid grips. I doubt the realese version will have a CP reg, since Bob is coming out with a new reg fairly soon. Hybrid grips are a possibility though.
It is the same basic design as a E-Tippmann. It will shoot a lot better though. Tippmanns are $200 guns, whereas this was made to be better than anything out.
I'm not too big on the feedneck. I like being able to take mine off. It looks low enough though, that's for sure.
The trigger frame looks kind of weird. I'll miss the clamshell, that's for sure. I loved the feel of those. This looks pretty good though. Big trigger guard.
The eye covers looks kind of weird. They look like they might wrap around the top. It's weird.
The laser engraving won't be on the release versions.

This gun will be awesome.
Yeah, MUCH better pics. Looks a lot better in those.
