So i had bought a G6R off my friend, it worked perfectly for a month and now is starting up with some odd things. The fps is all over the place, randomly breaking balls. I just used the lpr tester and set the lpr to 80, the high pressure gauge on it was set to 180ish i think. I just aired it up to check if it was working, and the bolt is just clicking back and fourth like theres not enough air to move the bolt. Any suggestions? and how do you go about adjusting the high pressure regulator? wont the high pressure be different depending on what fps you are shooting at? thanks!

you need to read the manual first. read it thoroughly. Go out and buy some dow55 and dow33. perhaps your regulatrs need cleaned out. what sort of psi is your tank outputting? have you reset your board to factory defaults? if so, i'd suggest doing that as well

use the card that came with the G6R and tells what the pressures were set to from the factory

im the 3rd owner of this marker so theres no manual with it. I havent been using any dow55. I know everyone says to only use it with bob long markers, but i never used it with my vice and its still working perfectly. I have a low pressure tank but im not sure exactly what pressure it puts out. I clean my markers almost to often, after every use i clean at least the eyes, bolt and rammer, so they should be very nice and clean.

Also, a quick google search reveals the manual.

oh one more thing. your pressure tester gauges may not be working properly, I know there was an issue with some of them.

i know its recommended to use dow 55 but ive been told you CAN use other lubes. Dow 55 is pretty much for leaks is it not? just swells the O-rings. I got it working in a sense, for some reason i have to crank up the lpr to 100 in order for it to work. I dont know if it will do damage to the marker using it at that high of a pressure. So im still trying to figure out the problem.

so i had bought some dow 55, took apart the g6r, lubed everything, and its still not working below 110 psi. I just dont understand what can cause that to happen. Marker still shoots fine but obviously isnt nearly as efficient.

oh i know, i used to run it at 80, and it worked perfectly fine. Now it does a first shot drop off, and the first time i air it up and shoot, it will break a ball or shoot 3 at once.

So! the G6R is still down and out. Ive cleaned it and taken it apart fully, put some new parts in it as well. Its still not working at a low pressure below 120. Is it completely out of the question to buy a whole new LPR off bob long? or would they not even bother.

it's not your LPR, it's gotta be something else. I don't know what, though.

did your pressure tester come with a crappy mini gauge? Those are known for being off by quite a bit sometimes

thats what i was HOPING it was. It seemed to work fine when i got it. One day i went to check the lpr and it said it was on 80 psi but my marker wouldnt shoot properly, so then i cranked it up, and it did the same thing. A guy i play with also has a G6R, his on his lpr tester the high pressure gauge doesnt work, so that gives me hope that its my tester just off. But im going to borrow his lpr tester and put it on my marker to see if it does the same thing.

hey man..i feel your pain i just bought a victory V2 and my gun had the same problem out the box i did this

took my gun apart pulled the noid out took it apart...my noid was packed full of grease all i did was wipe everything
off and my gun shoots like a beast now took me about 3 weeks to figure that out not even bob's gun tech could figure it out
be gentle with the screws on the noid they strip very easy use the correct size Phillips screwdriver let me know if this helps!

Step 1- degas gun
Step 2- disconnect harness
Step 3- remove Solenoid
Step 4- take apart and Clean the solenoid
Step 5- reassemble solenoid and gun
Step 6- Test It

hmmm maybe ill try that tonight. Ive always been scared to fiddle or do anything with the solenoid. But i might just attempt it haha

ughs , took the solenoid completely apart, as well as the whole marker pretty much, and its still doing the same thing. Im just going to have to wait till the one guy i play with who has a G6R, shows up at the field, and do some trouble shooting. I dont know what else it could possibly be. Everything looks clean. The marker just wont hold a consistent pressure. I set the lpr to 100, it drops to 80, then goes back up to 100, so odd...

did you clean out the lpr? pull out the internals with a needle nose pliers and whip off all the grease that is backed inside of it and put a think layer around the o rings....i don't use dow55 i use this virtue grease so just make sure you put it around the o rings..and put your lpr back to 80 you don't need it above 80 ever

also check your dwell my dwell was set at 4 when i got it back from the nerds at bob longs factory and my gun wouldn't shoot i had to turn it up to 13 for my gun to shoot and be efficient im getting about 1 hopper and 9 pods on a 3k fill so just test everything man you will figure it out it took me 3 weeks and i finally got it!

i had changed all the settings to see if anything else would make it work. This last weekend my friend put his lpr on my g6r and it still did the same thing so it doesnt seem to be the lpr. Last thing i try is the solenoid... but it doesnt seem like an issue a faulty solenoid would do.
