Bob Long Victory questions!

hey there, i just recently traded my bob long g6r for a bob long victory v1. I noticed right off the bat that it has a small leak from the bolt. I took it apart fully and re-lubed everything, making sure theres no lube on the brown donut thing. and still the small leak is there. I have no o-rings at the moment but will order some soon. Anything else i should try?

Plus the previous owner told me he was using a low pressure tank with the victory but that i could use my high pressure tank with it if i wanted to and that it wouldnt harm the marker. Makes me a bit nervous to use it but id prefer to since my low pressure tank is a stubby tank. thanks!

and which way is the supercharge doughnut supposed to go in? o-ring facing into the back portion of the bolt assembly? or facing away from? Plus are you not supposed to put any lube at all at the doughnut? or just put a small amount on the actual o-ring?

Hmm. Ive never actually taken my engine apart.. But the manual is up on my screen...

Manuals do wonders =P the donut oring should be towards the front of the engine.... Closest to your feedneck.

Depending on your tank reg, you could be ok, I took the shims out of a standard ninja reg and it works great.

As i read the manual, thinly lube all o-rings but tri-flow the 2 on the bolt

And don't forget, dow55...all Bob Long markers want dow55 for lube.

the biggest risk of using a standard pressure tank on a V1 vic is blowing out the ASA o-ring. the one i've dubbed the eff-you o-ring. blow it out and you'll see why

oh really eh! i have the o-ring facing the back, ill see if that changes anything. Im using dow55 as well and had just lightly lubed the bolt itself. I read different things all over about high pressure and low pressure tanks so i just like to see what actual victory owners use. I was reading online and someone said that the victory v1 was the first bob long marker where you should use a low pressure tank and that everyone marker before that is alright to use high pressure. I ordered some parts from bob long so if the leak doesnt go away ill just change out every single o-ring, if it STILL leaks, well. then im stumped...... lol

didnt come with a manual or box, otherwise i would have read that over already :P.ordered a 5x rebuild kit, a screw kit, lpr tester, and rubber power button (previous owner lost it). Nothing thing i find odd, is its upgraded with the yakuza board, and the display is SOOOO dim. Its set to the maximum brightness setting but can only be seen in a dark room lol. Is it normal for those screens to be kinda faulty? it has 5 brightness settings and you can see it doesnt get any brighter after setting 2. and yes theres a brand new energizer battery in it :P

the battery is new. Board must be somewhat faulty. Sucks because its a pretty pricey one! I know manuals are pretty easy to find, but i prefer asking the players questions since they have used them, may have had issues with them which im having and found a solution. Only so much a trouble shooting guide can tell you.

Very common on the board. Biggest reason Tadao has been losing a lot of business to Virtue recently. They tend to have that happen and won't replace it if it's even a day out of warranty. Whereas Virtue of course has the limited lifetime warranty. Got Virtue in my Victory.

How olds the board? If it's still in warranty you should be able to get it replaced.

i have no idea, i may be the 3rd owner of it. Would it be more likely to be the board? or the screen thats faulty? I saw paintball gateway sells just the screen for them, but that site only ships to the US. Sent an email to see if they would ship to canada, but no reply.

Really? Can you find a link? If it's attached anything like the UL board OLED is (I have Yakuza in my DM9), then I can't imagine replacing the oled myself without messing it up.

SO, the leak ended up being the super charged doughnut thing, no biggy. But my question now, is...is the victory v1's supposed to be far off from the rippers? my buddy just got a ripper and gets CRAZY efficiency with it, i used HIS tester on my v1, and with a 50?4500 tank, which has 3000 psi, i get around a hopper and 4 pods MAX. lpr is set to 70ish, gun isnt leaking. So i found that odd!
