If you'd rather have a timmy does it make a difference what THEY want.

At this lvl of gun its really preference. Have you held a dm4, if not go hold one and see which one you like more. The dm4 gets less shots per tank but what i have heard from most people is that is more accurate. Personally i have shot both and they are the same for accuracy. The reason might be because the stock barrel on a dm4 is better then what comes on a timmy. Maintenance wise they are the same, lube before you go out and play or every 2000-3000 shots depending on how well you like to take care of your gun. If you dont like the feel of the gun it will most likely stop you from ripping on it. So go to your local shop or a friend that has one and shot it. If you dont like how it feels you wont be happy with it.

I shot the DM4 the weekend before I bought my a-bomb. I did not like it.in my opinion the timmy is much more accurate. I heard some people are having some probs with DM4 but the DM5 is probably goin' to kick butt!

DM4 is a great gun. I'd rather have a Timmy. At the field that I go to, we've had about 5 DM4's where the boards have shorted, and they've had to be sent back to Dye. The Timmy's reliability is probably the highest of all markers. Plus, they're fast and light. Now, if you're willing to wait a few months to decide, try out a DM5 and see which is right for you.

timmy is easier to clean, and more efficient. the dm4 will have less kik, most of the time (gun to gun), stock, the ND will shoot faster, but if u get a xsf chip in the dm4, both will be plenty fast. i say ND, plus i think the ND looks better, and has slightly better resale.

Nope, Vikings & Excals are the most reliable period
Anyways, all it really comes down to is personal preference. Both those guns are great, both are light, both rip, both look great. All it really comes down to is what you like. Don't have people talk you into getting a gun, get the one you want. Before you make your purchase i would suggest looking around for the best deal.

Shoot both. Decide. Just remember it's your money, not theirs or ours.
Keep in mind the DM4 do have problems with the membrane pads, but usually do have less kick, but do have more orings and such.
Timmys have worse quality control, but if you get one through a local store you should be fine.

i dont like the dm4, i like the older trixes, just my pref though, the dm3(three) rocks, has lcd, eyes, and a fast board with a stock nice barrel, a nice thing is that even with out eyes the trix can be set up to bounce off paint, i dont think i've hear of a timmy bouncing on paint( dont get in a fizzle over that comment, i dont keep an ear open for it either)

I owned a DM4 for a while and absolutely loved the gun. It makes a Timmy look like a toy but let me tell you this, the Timmy is a much more user friendly gun than nearly any other gun out there. Rebuilding the regs is easier and the internals are a little less tricky. However, that’s not to say that the DM4 was difficult. The Timmy was just easier. I had the Tadao chip in my DM4 and it made my Timmy feel slow but after my latest trigger mod to my Empire, the Timmy is screemin’. It’s all preference man and for me, I have gone back to the Timmy but if I have a chance to I would go back and forth with the DM4 since it’s a sick gat that mows just as hard as any other high-end gun. Oh, and I never had any problems with my DM4 so I have no idea what others are talking about.
